The only way keto "works" is by making you too sick to eat.

it works the same way as atkins, hunger is a response to needing protein so high protein diets you feel less hungry so as a side effect you ~unintentionally~ eat less. carbs actually make you feel hungry so people tend to binge when eating shit like junk food. people on these diets eat what they want and lose weight so they think they can eat their body weight and not gain weight ignorant that their actual daily intake is lower than what it was when eating mainly carbs. also without carbs your body doesn't have any glycogen and glycogen requires a lot of water weight to store it, the initial weight loss is mostly shedding that water which is why you see a large drop and then much slower. same with fasting, i fasted a week, lost 11lb and with the first day after gained back ~8lb, because of water weight

tldr cico but no carb makes you feel less hungry so it might be easier to stay under tdee

They do but many or maybe most people unconsciously restrict calories if you cut out sugar and high carb foods. This has been proven time and time again. Thats not to say you cant gain weight drinking 5000 calories of heavy cream of 5000 calories of butter every day because you definitely can

it's all just CICO, thing is, it's difficult to overeat on a keto macro (if you don't consume any keto factory slop) without vomiting your brains out. ketosis itself doesn't mean anything in terms of weight loss, it's just ketard junk science at best
    >b-but le evil insulin!
what these ketards don't realize is that insulin is actually anabolic while cortisol (the state they're in 24/7) is anabolic, hence why the sedentary ketards are mostly skinnyfat DYELs while the ones who do lift can't seem to get bigger unless they blast roids or ditch the whole insulin concept and start slamming down proteins

You cant lose weight while being anabolic moron, anabolic is weight gain. You have to be catabolic to lose weight you total fricking moron.

you can dumbass, this is your brain on keto. insulin being anabolic doesn't mean that you can't lose weight on a calorie deficit

the whole keto schtick is about not triggering insulin and those carnis eat way too much protein to not trigger insulin response, you still haven't answered my question

you always have some insulin from eating. the main driver of insulin is carbs. protein much less and fat barely at all. you are not asking a good faith question youre just being a gay

that's why bacon and eggs with a side of bulletproof coffee (at least a quarter stick of butter) is the standard ketard meal as they're the most ideal in terms of minimizing insulin response, you still haven't answered my question

The frick they were. The only population whose food supply forces them to be lowcarb (eskimos) specifically adapted to stay out of ketosis. Que ketoacidosis which happens after a prolonged time on keto with minor side-effect of DEATH.

          Anonymous

funnily enough, the eskimos whom the ketogays use to further the spread of their cult actually eat more carbs because fresh meats are abundant in glycogen and in reality they're eating at least 20% of their calories as carbs from the glycogen alone

Sometimes, very rarely, I see equally moronic takes from anti-keto crowd as from ketogays. This is one of such cases.

glycogen decays to lactic acid post mortem very quickly. There will be little to no glycogen in meat unless you immeditalely put it on liquid nitrogen. You morons can't help yourselves but spread lies I guess

This is actually at least somewhat true, in that a lean person sleeping for 8 hours will likely be in ketosis for at least some of that, but you're moronic for thinking ketosis was the norm.
Look at hunter-gatherers like the Hadza who eat tons of carbs, especially honey.
The Inuit actually evolved a mutation to keep them *out of ketosis* despite their high fat diet, which suggests it's not a healthy state to be in long-term

i do both when im cutting
    basically
cut = keto + omad + cico + extra cardio
    bulk = carby meals + 3 meals + cico + less cardio
    it just werks

  6. 11 months ago

Keto and CICO are not mutually exclusive. What the guy says is that it's easy to stay under your calories limit on keto, hence you don't have to count calories (although I would still suggest doing that for at least few weeks to get used to the new amount of food) because fat food is satiating and it's hard to over eat on it anyway.

Whenever I did keto I was so fricking exhausted every day, it sucked.
Then I learned: You can eat what you want in moderation, but exclude all goyslop/processed shit.
Carbs are important but high in calories, so have it be a complement to your meal, not the main part.
I've achieved nirvana on all of this. Eat moderately whatever you'd like (except for slop), lift weighs, drink more water, spend time outdoors more, only coom after a good workout to help you sleep.
I'm going to make it brahs

Fat literally has more than 2x the calories per gram that carbohydrate does
