I've found women are pretty indifferent to it, tbh.
The women who say they don't like/wouldn't date smokers are mostly saying it to see how beta that particular smoker is - if he quits for that woman, she knows she has him by the balls.
Quit for yourself. Never do anything because of what a woman said.

it means that correlation does not equal causation. Just because there is a CORRELATION between men who smoke cigarettes and them having higher testosterone levels, it does not mean that the cigarettes are what's CAUSING the increases testosterone.

Another way to look at it is that men who smoke cigarettes are have a baseline higher testosterone to begin with, and it's these higher baseline testosterone levels that lead these men to smoke cigarettes.
          >Higher testosterone = MIGHT increase risk taking behaviour

Higher risk taking behaviour may cause people to smoke cigarettes. Hereby implying gigachads smoke, losers don't. The higher testosterone that smokers has is not because of the cigarettes, but because of the already high testosterone levels in these men

Do you have a source on that?

        Source?

        A source. I need a source.

Sorry, I mean I need a source that explicitly states your argument. This is just tangential to the discussion.

No, you can't make inferences and observations from the sources you've gathered. Any additional comments from you MUST be a subset of the information from the sources you've gathered.

You can't make normative statements from empirical evidence.

Do you have a degree in that field?

A college degree? In that field?

        Then your arguments are invalid.

No, it doesn't matter how close those data points are correlated. Correlation does not equal causation.

        Correlation does not equal causation.

        CORRELATION. DOES. NOT. EQUAL. CAUSATION.

You still haven't provided me a valid source yet.

        Nope, still haven't.

    Anyone else trying to quit?

I had a really bad panic attack a month ago where I thought I was having a heart attack (not fat but I drink and smoke a lot) and it’s kinda opened up my eyes that heart disease is not how I want to go anytime soon. I quit drinking and am a month sober, and wanna give up the cigs but it’s a hard habit when you’ve been doing it for five years. I’m determined though, this is the first time I’ve actually been making a plan to stop.

I found "Allen Carr's Illustrated Easy Way to Stop Smoking" entertaining and cheap. Just for perspective.

Quitting booze was easy for me personally after the first few weeks. Fricking cigs have been extremely hard. Gum doesn't work, anything. I just try to lift through the cravings when I can, and when I can't I let them pass. Gets better after week 3, but then you're dealing with the psychological addiction components which don't suddenly go away when your receptors unfrick themselves.

Don't know chad, but theoretically it can decrease blood flow, caused by the vasoconstriction from nicotine.
      >Less blood to the muscle = less nutrients for the muscle to recover

HOWEVER, studies show that nicotine decreases coronary blood volume, and increases muscular blood volume.
      >Less blood for your heart(beats faster), more in the muscles.

So it's hard to say what it actually does, there are probably some studies on that

Smoking is a vasoconstrictor, meaning it reduces the amount of blood able to be carried to the capillaries, including the muscles. If you smoke within 1 hour of exercise, you are absolutely killing your gains.

For me it was xanax that fricked me over, currently tapering with valium and repairing my brain with NAC, fish oil and a good diet in general, man just thinking about all the moronic shit I did on it (esp mixed with alcohol) such as gambling 10k on a random horse and going into debt, threatening to kill my ex best friend, assaulting my dad, those days where I was forced to withdraw and spent all day frozen in bed with extreme anxiety cause some gay sold me chalk and then buying more fake xanax from the same gay with my whole welfare check, the seizures etc, never want to go back to that life
