      Bulging/herniated disk(s)
Fix your sitting posture and lift safely or else

Can you have pain just in your left ass cheek, and not all the way down the leg.

      Yeah

        (1) piriformis syndrome, may hurt just as much,
        (2) muscle infamation around the lower spine pinching sciatic nerve

It's not just herniated disc. That's why you alway consult a doctor, or a PT. Each case requires different approach to heal.

Not true. I stand all day every day.

        See

I had sciatic pain so bad in my mid 20’s I thought I was going to need back surgery when I got older. In my early 30’s I switched to xero shoes and after about 2 years I realized my back pain had disappeared. I am a xero shoe cultist and thankful I was introduced to them. I’ll never wear any other type of shoe.

If you’re that poor then just go barefoot and don’t wear shoes.

Same here with vibrams. I was in so much pain that I'd been to chiropractors and physical therapy. I remember wearing a SI belt to my 30th birthday. Started wearing vibrams when I was 35 and the pain started going away. Within months I was fixed. I've been lifting since I was 18 and my squat form finally perfected with vibrams. I'm about to be 37 and haven't been this pain free since high school.

Tldr unless a shoe is specifically zero-rise, it's fucking up your back.

Bad back due to tightness is a thing. Release the back, massage, hot baths and a reverse hyper.

    >coughs or sneezes or anything
    >pain shoots through your ass and entire leg
    Nothing personnel, kid.

But, honestly. I've had chronic sciatic pain for 2 years. It comes every other month and stays for 1 week.

Used to be worse. Was so debilitating that I couldn't do anything but lay in a specific position. If I moved even an inch it gave me the most horrible pain I've ever felt. Thank god it's not AS BAD anymore.

Have gone to the doctors about it. They basically said that for as long as it "becomes better" after a while, they won't do shit. But if I ever can't control my bowel movements or something similar, then I need to call the emergency line because that means the nerve is dying.

Damn, that's rough. Nightmare fuel. What caused it for you?

At it's worst it was a real nightmare. Literally laying on the couch and if you even moved a tiny bit or someone touched you, you would feel pain to the point of almost passing out. I read online and several women with similar symptoms said it was way worse than childbirth. If I didn't have a wife that took care of me, and the rest of my life being good, I would've probably considered suicide.

I guess it happened because I had a horrible sitting posture where I would rest my feet on top of a very high desk, whilst my chair was way lower. I did this whilst gaming+working (WFH) every day during covid (basically 16h+ every day), which fucked me up. And when it started hurting the first time, I ignored it and just kept sitting like a retard even though it hurt. Plus I half-assed legs and lowerback for a long time.

Like I said, nowadays when it happens it isn't as bad and I can still walk around, just a bit of pain in my ass and I'm afraid to cough/sneeze. Got a backless chair (essentially a bar stool) along with a standing desk 3 months ago - and haven't had problems since. So hopefully it stays gone.
