Are knuckle pushups better than regular pushups? More range of motion, better forearm work, way better on your wrist I imagine. I can do far more regular pushups than knuckle pushups but I feel these work my chest way better

What kind of dork gets wrist problems from fricking push ups?

i bet she jets like a frick engine
kinda butterface, but at least she's not a landwhale
I don't know if they're better or not but when I do pushups I do one form after the other because after I max out with knuckle pushups I can still get maybe like 15 more normal pushups. So they definitely hit different muscles, sort of.
If I get dubs can I get 10-12 and 49-52 simultaneously? I want to see how far away I can throw them onto my bed from.
Excellent I got delicious.
56-59 pls

Everyone who doesn't roll for 13 has betrayed his spawn. She very well might black widow my ass for the protein, but my sons, my sons will be strong. Those little bastards will pop out as full grown manlets, and absolutely mog any who dare stand against them. 8' 300 lb slabs of pure beef just casually wrecking all known physical accomplishments.

wrist is a shitty joint. That's why it's important to bench with proper form otherwise you can end up fricking your wrist up because it isn't meant to hold huge loads. Probably just regular pushups won't do much but if you're really pushing the pushup envelope you could probably do some kind of damage overtime.
You must be a woman. I never had problems even when I was a 5'10 110lbs teenager.
I do have wrist issues on my left arm tbh but when I first started lifting heavy I ended up tweaking my right arm because I didn't have my wrists straight. Wasn't a big deal at first it was just something that 'caught up'
Bench with your wrist in improper form for a while and you'll regret it friend, all I'm gonna say
>I never had problems even when I was a wispy b***h
you don't say.
Post body
anybody got a pic of the perfect wrist position during bench?
Don't let your hand bend back
where the heck is the weight supposed to rest? between the index and thumb? my wrist is bent back to support all the weight.
Yes, you want the bar. your wrist, and your forearm to form a straight line.
In any other position your wrist has to apply force to stop the bar from rolling your wrist more, until your wrist snaps.
You want to focus on lifting the bar with your chest/arms, not be doing some weird static barbell wrist curl while doing that
me
I don't know why but my right wrist has far less flexibility than my left, I can't move it as much and need to force it. If I do pushups long enough it will start to ache as if it's being injured, not stretched.
exact same problem, as my bench went up, I had to start using wrist wraps on my right wrist. helps a ton
yes its better because you must hit high numbers
diamond ones are less an issue tho, at least
Idk i remember when i took karate they wanted us to do these sometimes. Boxing trainer said it was a larp that was hard on your knuckles for no reason
It helps compressing your knuckles and your wrist wich is good for punching, of course a karate teacher wouldn't know anything about being in a fight.
Your boxing trainer only knew gloved boxing
From a fighting standpoint, you do push-ups on your first two knuckles to strengthen the wrist stabilizers and toughen those knuckles up and increase the bone density of your metacarpals for bareknuckle fighting
From an exercise standpoint doing them on your knuckles allows for a deeper pushup but limits your hand placement unless you're in the sand or something
Also it looks more harass
No it doesn't you frickin dork
Other than putting less tension on your wrist, there's no difference
It's a cool way to show off, otherwise I really don't feel much difference
people do that shit because they think they look cool, calisthenics parks are often full of tryhards whose only goal is to do a swinging muscle up or to a few pushups on these low bars as if they're that different from regular pushups lmao
They're mainly for martial artists and other people in combat sports to condition their hands, but if you just want to do the push-ups because your wrists are fricked up you can do them on a mat.
I typically would've done knuckle pushups because having my hands flat on the ground for pushups hurt my wrists. Lately I just use those ground handles instead
Use handles or do them on the curb
Knuckle push-ups: Based...
Pro:
1. More range of motion, +2".
2. Hardened knuckles for fight.
3. Actually feels better than palms after sometime.
Con:
1. Have to get some gloves or mat for resistance on slippery surface.
Wide push ups and decline/incline push ups would "work chest better". I don't find the idea of putting bones under stress beneficial, you might just bang your head with a hammer and hope it gets stronger.
