Is doing legit squats dangerous for the knees? What should I do to achieve such mobility? It looks bad ass. Seeing fat fricks half reping (they call it parallel, lmao) 500kg is way less impressive than this

      they're safer on the knees than partial range of motion, as long as you control the descent and don't bounce in the hole.

    Not great for the knees because the weight pulls on them rather than compress as they're designed to handle. But they're great for mobility, don't load as heavy and you'll be fine.

    I got patellar tendonitis basically for life in both knees just getting up to 420-430@185. Got like a 35-36" standing vertical out of it, but jumping hurt unless I was very, very warmed up.

    If you have long femurs I wouldn't bother trying to go ATG.

    I wish I could do it but I cant. Ankles are not mobile enough to accommodate for my long femurs and i cant make them more mobile because its limited by bones not tight muscles. If you can do it consider yourself lucky

    High bar atg gave me knee pain. Probably because I was doing them so often. I can get away with lots more low bar squats to parallel.
