I'm struggling to see how running would assist in making strength gains. It seems like a total waste of energy that would be better utilised towards lifting more intensely than you would have done. You can certainly get a full cardio workout if you lift weights fast with little rest in-between. And for weight loss, no amount of jogging will ever beat calorie restriction.
Even though I am the chair of this debate, I'm going to say that running is gay and that it is mainly used by homosexual men as a mating call.
And women do it because they are both stupid and weak.
