Lets settle this once and for all. Listening to anime soundtracks while lifting, instead of music, is it cringe or based?

Listening to what you want is based. Caring what other people think about it is cringe.

    >listening to J-rock anime OSTs = based
    >listening to sugary moeshit anime OSTs = cringe
It's not that difficult to understand. For me it will always be the Guilty Gear Strive soundtrack. Never touched a single fighting game in my life but I love GGS's music and character design.

I listen to anime OPs/EDs while lifting. Why would I care what others think? I could probably get away with listening to this on speakers and people would just think it's some Spanish song kek

    it's both.
There's a lot animes where the music if better than the anime because they employ people like susumu hirasawa. For me it's geinoh yamashirogumi which is an artist collective you may have heard their music in akira already but they made fun stuff. Technically they only performed the soundtrack but in the original making they were just going to put them in there and decided late in production it needed it's own unique score and had the founding member write stuff in their style for the film.
