Lifting has made me more aware of my skeleton and organs, and how fragile the human body is. How do I overcome this?

Lifting has made me more aware of my skeleton and organs, and how fragile the human body is. How do I overcome this?

Everytime I bench, there is this fear that my grip will slip and the bar will crack my skull open.

Everytime I DB OHP, there is this fear that I will break my wrists.

Everytime I eat chicken wings or drumsticks, I cannot but think about my bones, cartlidges, and muscles.

Does this ever go away?

Grow up and stop being a moron. Or since you clearly have no idea how muscles, tendons, and bones work, maybe do some actual reading

When you put the bar back on the bench rack, does not the bar hand above your skull?

You probably don't have much experience with risk assessment in physical activities. I think I made most of my gains in this area through skating and flipping.

You could slip when walking, crack your skull on the concrete, and die. But you don't worry about it because you are confident in your ability to walk, regain balance, and fall gracefully / break your fall in case you do lose your balance.

If you are fearful of a certain motion, there is a reason for it, and you are probably not ready for it. At least in skating, you know when you have a skill roadblock vs just a mental one. Never do something risky if it's a skill roadblock because you will get snapped up. Instead, keep practicing or do variations/progressions until you feel like you are ready for the real thing.

The human body is fragile but built to be extremely resilient; able to be broken and mend itself. Not perfectly, but well enough that you can survive in a tribe after you recover.

What you're describing almost sounds like a mental health issue.

It's not a pleasant image, but there are far worse things out there. The artist achieved their goal.
      >why isn't this wine sweet? how do I make myself like dry wine?

I feel like the image of a brain oozing out of a skull is among the worst ones, especially if you're looking it as a whole thing, it just evokes this extremely uncomfortable deeply seated disgust in me
the image itself might not be graphic but the "vibe" of what it's depicting is absolutely horrific and that's what gets me I guess, it's just so disgusting

    >From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine.
    >Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you.
    >But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal...
    >...even in death I serve the Omnissiah.

But since you're stuck in your meatbag, look up strongman competitions and see how much weight those fuckers lift. The human body is though as shit if you allow it to be.

Don't suicide grip, don't ego lift
    >Everytime I DB OHP, there is this fear that I will break my wrists.
Every time you lift, you're making them stronger
    >Everytime I eat chicken wings or drumsticks, I cannot but think about my bones, cartlidges, and muscles.
The bird of gains is making you stronger

That episode of 30 Rock where Tina Fey is scared to live alone due to the fact she could choke eating her dinner and there'd be no one there to save her from choking to death. As I live alone myself, that one scares me at times, especially when I'm lying in bed and eat cheese too fast and choke.
