    What was the joke?
Worst thing you can do is start avoiding them and letting awkwardness build. Just act like it never happened, who cares about work roasties.

Ah, yeah I can see why a female colleague, who is there at work with you, earning their own money, might feel insulted. Because in 2024 everything is considered misogyny and they are programmed to be offended by everything.

However, that said, it was an incredibly tame joke and they should get the frick over it/themselves.

Either double down and drop some even more crass/sexist jokes to show them you don't give a single frick, or try some self-depricating humor next time. But don't back down and be avoidant.

          >self-depricating humor
extremely cuckolded and reddit. also women don't get this humor and will just see you worse if you do this.

          have a nice day

that’s hilarious, maybe they didn’t you hear you the first time. my suggestion would be to repeat the joke louder

there are several landmines in that joke. I've gotten laid off for less. Not explicitly over what I said, but hey coincidentally they suddenly don't need my services anymore.
It's not necessarily over for you, and it's already quite good that you *noticed* that your joke wasn't taken well. If you're alert to subtle feedback like this, and change your behavior, you're likely to do well even if you lose this job.
What you should do now is pretend the joke never happened unless it's brought up. Don't apologize. Don't explain. Talk about other stuff. If it's brought up, say "oh yeah I realized after I said it, that it wasn't appropriate."
        >Lifts
any kind of exercise reliably cuts down my seething time. Maybe do some aerobics outside where you'll feel comfortable talking out loud to yourself about it.

this generation will legit never know what it was like in all male offices. it used to be way more fun at work. glad I got to enjoy a bit of it working in tech 15 years ago before it changed and was still a bro atmosphere.

I joked positively about the Youtube shooter in all-male tech office and it didn't go over so well. Nothing happened, but I also noticed right away and shut up about it.
This is a much bigger issue when women are around since they suck up propaganda like a dandelion sucks up pollution, but it's still an issue in general.

just tell us what the joke was

I can't remember my exact phrasing but basically I made a joke about how trans-women may as well go to the women's bathroom since it's already disgusting so I don't see why it's a big deal.

oh yeah, definitely don't talk about those people. Just forget they exist. And unless you know her very well, just assume that any woman around you has the most propagandized normie perspective possible, which on trans people is going to be that your jokes literally kill them.

Haha, bro, you have to take your time on this shit. It takes me 6 months to fully unleash at a new place. You have to figure out who is going to be receptive to your special blend of madness, and you pretty much just can't ever let loose around the women in the office.
