I have to eat at a caloric surplus if I am engaged in a serious regimen of exercise towards strength gain. Both for the extra energy and surplus protein to develop muscle mass.

This is just one why I am setting alligator traps and hunting them.

This is just one reason why I am setting alligator traps and hunting them.*

The bait is a quarter chicken which yields about 40lb of gator meat among other alligator products. You traditionally kill them with a gun but I'm teaching myself to use spear/harpoon in order to save money and strength is required to slay the gator this way.

nta but it really does taste like fishy chicken. It's good though, love alligator tail.

        >Frequent meals are a way to train your body to only live on the calories in your stomach and are a recipe for fat permanence so unless that is your goal avoid it.

factually incorrect, but i will say at the tail ends of my cuts my energy is severely impaired if I binge eat then OMAD my day, versus beating my inner fat kid and managing to space my meals out

but typically i actually feel better the less I eat

Keto + OMAD or PIF when coupled with exercise is a near guaranteed max fat burn. CICO always counts even if keto but don't tell any of the geniuses on this site that.

you can't go on keto if you have a physically demanding job though. Tried it for a while and almost fell off a roof one day because I was too low energy.

Provably detrimental and a recipe for starvation. Frequent meals are a way to train your body to only live on the calories in your stomach and are a recipe for fat permanence so unless that is your goal avoid it.

It’s ok if you want to maintain a body at a specific fat level and near term future food scarcity isn’t an issue.

Can I build muscle while not on a big calorific surplus. I'm around 15-18 bf.

Yeah sure, just do a small surplus instead.

Fewer, more substantial meals worked out better for me. It also made me jealous of how extensively people like the French get to lunch.

In the end I think its subjective, but I certainly like eating smaller meals more often.
