>literally all you need for abs
every other meme exercise and variaton is a scam or takes too long to progress to acceptable levels
>literally all you need for abs
every other meme exercise and variaton is a scam or takes too long to progress to acceptable levels
All you need for abs to to eat nothing salmon, caeser salad and strawberries
>abs are made in the kitchen
good meme, i only started seeing my abs by bulking up and training them with heavy ass weight from the ab machine
i can see my abs better at 20% than 15% from months ago
Get a load of permabulker cope
He's not wrong though. If abs were made in the kitchen, every skinny kid would have abs. Abs are a muscle like any other: while cutting helps with definition, training is required for mass.
The powerlifter cope is that just bracing during compounds is enough.
I don't have this at my gym.
yeah but some of us are at 30% so it's easier to make these abs in the kitchen than in the gym
abs are muscles just like everything else. If you work them out, and they get big, they will show through the fat. That being said, the ASS, inner thighs, and tummy are the last place most people lose fat, depending on your genetics.
Anyway, the ab roller, as well as incline bench crunches with a medicine ball are based as well.
problem with ab rollers is that you cant progress overload weight with it and they are even more harsh on ur lower back than the machine
that's not the problem
the problem is they require shoulder strength and it's a pain in the ass to program them in regularly
Wear a backpack with weights
cool story, bro !
If it weren't for griefers like you I would have had abs years ago
>Abs are made in the kitchen
They do but that's a very simplistic claim, you still need to train them just like any other muscle so they pop sooner and last longer
This machine is the one reason I kept my planet fitness membership for so long. No other gyms around me have it. Burns so good
>what is cable crunch
Every time I’ve tried this machine I just feel like I’m moving the weight with my arms and my core barely activates, I don’t get it. Weighted Sit-ups are fire tho
I do the abwheel. Costs less than 1/100th of the price of a crunch machine and it's much more effective.
I have ab wheel as well but I can't learn the proper form. It's like every other rep is working something else but the abs.
>but not the abs
The pic is the form.
I know but I cannot do it consistently.
Because those other muscles are weak
How do I use this? I just end up using my upper body
I always thought this would just work my forearms or something until I actually tried it (I have not a great concept of physics in my head)
It's actually pretty much impossible to use anything but your abs when using this machine properly
moron, I literally get the same stimulus from looping a resistance band over the top of a pull-up bar and do standing crunches with it. And, I don't have to sit on some sweat-stained chunk of metal and can do it at any gym.
>resistance band
way too much work to set it up when you can just sit on a machine designed to hit the muscle perfectly
bands are a meme
>throwing a rubber band over the top of a bar is more work than having to wait for a machine to open up, setting the seat height, changing the weight for resistance, getting adjusted, etc.
This is some retarded b8
I started doing planks with a pl8 on my back and my abs way more visible than before. I also do leg raises with a medicine ball between my feet for lower abs.
Am i doing these wrong? Feels too easy, can max the machine out for 10+ reps with ease
This machine sucks ass for me too, I guess the ROM is too small so my back takes over. Weighted crunches and leg raises are what get the abs for me
Shit bro, do you even feel it in the abs are you throwing the momentum with other parts of your body?
Yeah i mean i don't feel it anywhere else, but it just seems too easy? Maybe I'm just retarded
Same for me with cable crunches. I now do weighted crunches on an abmat. It's one thing crossshitters got right.
I do slow eccentrics on my machine.
If you are too strong do weighted decline situps.
or maybe something else like ab wheel rollouts.
I hear those are hard.
would these put some wear on your back like regular laying down crunches supposedly do?
>see this machine in the gym
>nerdy little zoomer comes in and uses it almost exclusively
bless his heart
it’s a start
It’s always the fat boomers in mine
i wish the machine at my gym had these stops for ur legs, it feels so awkward doing this exercise with your feet planted on the floor
I do
Reverse Crunches 3x20 (Lower)
Crunches 3x20 (Upper)
Bycicle Crunches 3x20-failure (Obliques)
Is this a good workout?
yes
keep it up for 2 months doing it every day or just alternating days when you're too tired and you'll see results
Thanks, will do.
They are not. Don't have the time currently to go to the gym and according to my "research" these are the exercises with the highest ROI for each muscle grp you can do at home. If anyone is interested this is my routine on Strong: https://strong.app.link/tskGAH8Hjzb
are they weighted? bodyweight is bullshit
This is literally just overpriced weighted cable crunches.
Not saying they're not highly effective. Just laughable to call the thing it's "improving" a meme.
If you can do cable crunches with proper weights it means you have small arms
ummm how about you improve your attitude, mister
or no dessert steak for you
I just mindlessly do them at the end of my workout just to lazily do something for abs. It paid off in the end when I got lean and saw my abs
>posts worst ab machine
Whats the best one then?
add to that leg raises (especially with more ROM, controlled eccentric and increasing difficulty through hanging n shit)
and also ab rollers
Got one of these for free recently. I kind of treat it like a decline sit-up I remove the bar that limits rom, go in a flat position like the start of a sit up, set the bar and crunch.
I do very slow eccentrics and it feels great. I like that I can choose where the pad goes and change the strength curve since it will feel heaviest when the lever is parallel to the floor.
Haven't tried cable crunches, but I might do those too.
What are the best an exercises that I can do at home without buying large equipment like the OP? I’m seeing people recommending the AB wheel, any other recommendations?
hanging leg raises
this machine is on the edge of the wall at my gym facing the rest of the floor and i jump on it whenever i finish my workout but there are still hot sluts i wanna stare at for a bit longer. thanks for validating my decision.
Is doing abs daily a retarded idea? I enjoy swapping exercises on a daily basis but I am not sure If this is effect and need to add a rest day for abs every other day.
some muscles can take it. Abs, forearms, calves and others can cope with daily hard use.
Well, just try it out.
That's how I got my abs. Like the other guy said, just give it a shot and see how you go
Hanging leg raises are fun though, that machine is nice but it would get boring withour some variety
>all these anons who fell for the expensive, self filming thots and SARMs rangers popular YouTuber gym
>don't even have the ab machine
This is why planet fitness is based and whoever shits on it is a DYEL who needs to post body.
99% of people that sit alot during the day have fuckall idea of how to engage their core. master the deadbug and maybe pallof press then any core exercise will be good.
This machine doesn't work for me...
Am I supposed to do them at bodyweight weigh? Because otherwise I feel nothing
My abs are more burned when doing crunches in my room than this machine
