Lower Back Inflammation

I blew my back out deadlifting a few years ago, and it just hasn't been the same. I still workout and do lower back exercises, I've seen a PT, and I've tried stretching but haven't had much luck. I've just learned to live with it... has anybody had experience making it go away?

Lulz not true. Been lifting for 15 years and never went above 405 for this exact reason.

Pullup bar/gymnast ring deadhangs (with ankle weights or a dipping belt) and an inversion table, both two times per day for 5 minutes (after waking up and before going to bed). Chiropractor once a month to unsnap your shit.

Have you tried hot yoga? Works great for my old american football injuries. Gives you a chance to walk around with your shirt off in a room with mostly fit girls too if you're into that.

Get a pic related. Really helps increasing the blood flow in your back and this helps you recover faster. Also works wonders when your back gets frozen/stuck. Apart from that: has a solid tip

Chiropractor. A good one will take x-rays and show you what's fricked. I've had lower back pain for about 8 years. My hips were fricked, and so was my neck. I've probably been to the chiropractor about 30 times in the last 3 months and it's finally feeling better.

OHP and deadlifts are safe effective, stop asking questions and do them as heavy as possible or you're not a MAN

Yeah, I don't get it. I'm almost 32 and have never had any pain. People need to stop lifting like complete morons.

I see maybe only like 10% of the dead lifters in my gym lift with proper form.

I just turned 39 and I haven't had a back issue from the gym in like 8 years.

After a single back injury, your back is never going back to normal. The only thing you can do is reduce pain by stretching a lot. Backs tend not to heal fully because its always activated, no matter what you do or position you’re in. Going for walks can help too because as your spine bounces it releases naturally formed local anesthetic to numb itself.

It's psychosomatic. Read John Sarno and go to therapy.

If you don't have a herniated disc, it's just muscle issues, so it should have healed after a week or so.

Just because you can deadlift 400 lbs it doesn't mean you have good form.

I probably herniated one or two discs over my time lifting, but since I started to train seriously, I just focused on great form and never had problems since.

Strong back muscles stabilize the back, and relieve herniated disc symptoms.
