you will NEVER have a strong front squat if you only do front squats. and you will never have big quads from doing 225 front squats. you need to back squat just to build your front squat.
>leg exercise >failure point is upper back/core
It's a good lift but not a primary leg movement. If you want to replace back squats then bulgarian split squats are a better option
point is upper back/core
Are there any other barbell compounds that are like this but even more so? Or is front squat the best it gets? Serious question
how the fuck do ppl do these heavy without choking themselves out? not matter where I place the bar, if I keep my elbows up the bar pushes against my neck. It's like getting choked out but not in a way that gives me a boner.
>if I keep my elbows up the bar pushes against my neck
Hold the bar on your delts just in front of your clavicles.
>literally chokes you >is painful to perform >requires shit load of stretching before you are able to do it >leaves bruises on your clavicles
>literally chokes you
No. >is painful to perform
Get better mobility. >requires shit load of stretching before you are able to do it
Only takes a couple weeks, and the mobility gainz will stay for life. >leaves bruises on your clavicles
No.
>No.
Yes. >Get better mobility.
And what does it have to wit the bar lying on clavicles? It hurts bones. >mobility gainz will stay for life
Ahahaha. You are delusional as fuck. I used to do the full splits a year ago and now I cant even touch my toes without bending my knees. >No.
This is a clavicle of one of the best lifters in an entire world. For the regular normie without that shit load of muscle mass that will be guaranteed bruises. You are just a fatass.
Stop bullshitting. He said in an interview it's because he never learned how to properly recover from jerks during training (dropping the bar from overhead back to rack position).
every youtube video on the front squat technique claims that it should be choking you and warns you that it will be slightly difficult to breathe.
It seems that you are doing it wrong.
And what do you think a front squat should look like?

>front squat more than the average gym goer can back squat >get non-stop mires every time I do them
Front squat is so based. Definitely my favorite exercise. MY goal is to hit 320lbs in the next few months since that'd be 2x bodyweight. Currently at 285.
My brother. I think we have the same stats.
My front squat 1rm is 285lbs at the moment, and I front squat more than most people in my gym back squat, especially since it's zoomerville. Unfortunately, a 400lbs front squat would be double my bodyweight.

I have a really, really hard time getting my arms in the right position for this, as such, I've only been able to get my front squat up to my bodyweight at 185
Once loaded up 4pl8 to go for 3x8 im the home gym >1st 3 reps were ok >4th rep felt a bit off >5th dizzy >6th can't remember
Thank to who ever came up with the idea of power racks and safeties
I (extremely luckily) fell backwards and hit my head on one of those thick cushioning exercise mats
No frsq for me anymore
>gives your wrists really bad ouchies
I try to love front squats, but I just can't. For me it's [high bar] back squats, hack squats, and the quad extension machine
I started doing these a couple months ago because my body is horribly built for back squats (lanklet with crazy long femurs and a tiny torso) and I'm finally getting the depth i've always wanted and the movement feels really natural. my only problem is now that im progressing in weight the bar is irritating the fuck out of my front delts, the skin will be red and irritated with some bruising for a few days after doing them. other than wearing a thick jacket what can i do to avoid this?
front squats are a supplementary to backsquats. just do both of them.
They're both accessories for the competition lifts
my 4.5pl8 front squat says you are wrong
you don't need back squats at all if you do front squats and DL
you will NEVER have a strong front squat if you only do front squats. and you will never have big quads from doing 225 front squats. you need to back squat just to build your front squat.

>looks stupid
Back to back squats I go
I have pretty decent mobility and this shit just completely eludes me.
my elbows would explode if i tried that
>doesn't make the biggest number
No.

You are retarded, that's a perfectly fine squat
Guarantee you squat less than 3 plates
when i get to 3 i wont have knee issues or need to wear wraps
>when
its great that you can squat alot with shit form, but i dont want to, good luck
lmao of course you're weak
do you even squat 2 plates? imagine having opinions on squatting when you're that weak
how much can you do with good form
the most I have done is 170kg for 1 and I kept posture pretty well
I feel like I could grind out 175 or 180kg but I dont like grinding squats
>t. Deltlet

yeah man that's the stuff
Both are mogged by the superior behind-the-back deadlift.
it is called barbell hacksquat and yes these are awesome

show respect to your superiors and post squats
I dont need a video to point out somebodys being a butthurt moron.
just as i suspected
1. go to archive
2. locate "worm holocaust"
3. follow the protocol
4. re-read my post
back squat builds more strength but front squats are a lot of fun
OHP squats for me
i started with back squat cuz of SS, but now do front squat as well as DL ; front squat feels way better to me . helps my posture too
I have a really, really hard time getting my arms in the right position for this, as such, I've only been able to get my front squat up to my bodyweight at 185
Try cross armed or use straps
Front Squat is dead. Zercher chads are in control now.
For me, it's Zercher Deadlifts
>more pain
>more gain
>not doing zercher to push press
are you supposed to have that wide of a stance for zerchers
Once loaded up 4pl8 to go for 3x8 im the home gym

compare it to this absolute gays form, its perfect for demonstration
what's wrong with it? seems perfect
Can't do these fuckers without feeling like George Floyd
hit 225x15 after maxing out, I think i have 225x20 in me.
pic rel is my training style
