This. Lactose free shit is pushed everywhere, people don't even fucking want it, but THEY still push that crap.
I once tried lactose free milk and it was dogshit. It tasted like white coloured water and it probably was.
It's for people with lactose intolerance, which is very common even in Europe where it's supposed to be rarer. Worldwide it's 65% of adults. With lactose intolerance you don't have the enzyme lactase in your small intestine to break down lactose so It's not "lactose bad" but "every time I have lactose I have diarrhea within 2 hours". People with lactase have no problem with lactose so it's considered like an allergy, which happens to be very common hence the lactose free products.
Americans have even more lactose intolerance than most euros so I have no idea how you guys deal with it if you don't have lactose free products. Are you just fine with constant diarrhea and stomach pains? I've heard rumors about that but it's a bit hard to believe.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lactose_intolerance >Lactose intolerance is most common among people of gnomish descent
Oops, there goes all of Asia since they can't digest lactose.
And before anyone mentions the mongols, they didn't drink their milk without processing it for a reason, making cheese or milk wine breaks down the lactose making it digestible for their lactose intolerant asses.
> all of Asia
You have to make an exception for the Middle East, literally everyone loves milk in here and our grandfathers grew on Camel milk which is much more concentrated than a cow's
You want this to have LESS calories? We need all the help we can get to fill our giant Balkanite frames (6'1'' on average).
If you multiply with 1.88 for Slovenia and 2.5 for Croatia, you get 70/100g of protein. Of course, this is just a thought exercise in price/performance.
