It's a fiber supplement that also makes your shit a bit softer. I had the issue of never having clean shits which resulted in an anal fissure and not being able to properly wipe. 2 tablespoons of this stuff has solved that. It's obviously not needed most likely if you get enough fiber.
One downside is that it doesn't really dissolve that well in liquid. You have to mix it as fast as possible for maybe 15 seconds and then just chug it otherwise it absorbs the liquid and turns into jello. I have to mix it into half a glass of a protein shake because it's revolting with just water
Psyllium husk is the most common used supplement to add fiber to processed foods. Maybe you don't eat processed food at all, but you should be aware of it.
If you are fibermaxing, diverisfy your fiber sources. The gut has a whole range of bacteria that loves off of different types of fiber. Look into chia seeds and flax seed (which is usually sold ground or milled). It's just as easy to supplement with a diverse amount of fiber sources.
I take this for 2 weeks before my end-of-year fasting begins. I fast for a weekend. Then, I take them after so they can bind to the shit that was never shat, the literal shit in your colon that for some unknowable reason, never moved. These frickers bind to THOSE. During this time I also take a coffee enema once a week (or more) to flush the colons as well.
Was there not a study that showed this shit caused thousands of microtears in the intestines/bowels contributing to Chron's/IBS? I swear this shit was the cause of it
qrd
think I need some of this

The key is to take it with even more water than the minimum recommended. Like a small spoonful in 24oz of water.
It'll just clump up in that much water
Are you incapable of mixing it?
I’m in. Been having horrible painful burning mud shits for a while. Only eating popcorn seems to help it.
i heard it's bad for you if you rely heavily on them, like how taking laxatives regularly just to shit will do more harm than good
It's just fiber though

Quick search on scholar finds nothing. In fact it's all studies about using psyllium as a treatment for IBS/Chrons
>not mentioning bentonite clay as a perfect combo companion for detox
