uhhhh I don't know about that man. If he hits true muscular failure and his shit gives out, his arms will get caught up while his torso keeps going to the floor
>doing half reps
You are supposed to go down until you can't abduct your humerus any further, then you're supposed to extend your arms slightly to go even deeper
that shit fuckin hurts(not your muscles but your boens) if you do it with a decent amount of weight
>that shit fuckin hurts(not your muscles but your boens) if you do it with a decent amount of weight
Works on my machine lol
True that some movements can force your scaps to retract so much that it actually hurts a lot, but I find that this only happens on parallel bar dips. Doesn't seem to be an issue on ring pushups so it's not a problem

The only calisthenics moves I train weighted or unweighted are push-ups, inverted rows, and pull-ups. Not a fan of gymnastics. Too many moves that will just send you to snap city
Tbf, normal weight training is pretty boring. I enjoy it, but I enjoy a lot of monotonous activities. I can see how other people would find other types of training more appealing

I just tried front raising my barbell and it didn't budge. I can hit a 1p8 OHP and 2pl8 bench. Is this supposed to be easy? I want to see a video of a IST poster do this.
What weighted exercise would that even be? This isn't a front raise, you start in the raised position and rotate it to be over your head. What would that even grow?
>fit retards would rather do the most obscure and dangerous exercise to target a muscle group you can target by relevantly save and simple exercise just for the sake of being different >fit retards would rather follow the most obscure diet some tiktok influencer shilled them to do rather than just count calories and macros
What happens when you fail
Just step down

Even if you fail, you can still hold your upper body in a safe position for a decent amount of time after your last rep.
Why is he holding the kettlebell with his hand?

makes sense, i was talking off of my experience of doing it with weighted dips, ive never done ring pushups

Ringcel schizo thread
Weighted calisthenicsfags are more autistic than powershitters.
Why can't these failed gymnasts just train normally?

I want to try it. My best ohp is 115kg, however
Please give it a try and post it on IST if you can. I'm curious how strong you have to be to be able to do a barbell front raise.

>setting up all that shit every time
no thanks

Benching is way more dangerous than ring push-ups.
