One big thing people keep bringing up is that meat is especially bad for climate change, pollution etc.
Ironically factory farming which is considered cruel tends to reduce the "footprint" of animal agriculture the most

There is also research suggesting that excessive consumption of red meat is bad for you. Funnily red meat is also the worst for environmental impact

      Anonymous

Yeah. I'm not convinced to even give up red meat, but when I learned about environmental impact I decided to not rely on it. Staples in my diet are eggs, oysters, clams, sardines, sometimes dairy, but I decided beef should just be a treat for grillouts and whatnot. Eating lower food chain is way more sustainable and also safer from pollutants (mostly with the fish).

Really doesn't impact my eating much, but supposedly it's the small change with the greatest impact on the environment.

Cope. Pork, chicken, and goat are all more efficient.

Cattle are uniquely inefficient (but also uniquely tasty), which is why wealth was historically measured in cattle. The ability for average British people (and their American cousins) to eat beef regularly was historically anomalous.

Because it's expensive, that's why. It’s not that they want to kill people, it’s just that the global population keeps skyrocketing.
See how globohomosexual always, and I mean ALWAYS, shill cheap plant/bug based stuff as healthy but criticize everything that’s animal based. Why? Because animal based food cost more resources to produce.

    >seed oils
They are cheap so it’s ok. Who cares about trans fats anyway.
    >animal fat
Demonized and should be AVOIDED AT ALL COST. While too much animal fat can be bad for you, it’s not as bad as they claim. You can eat a reasonable portion of animal fat every day and remain healthy. Processed and fried fast food for example are infinitively worse for LDL cholesterol than natural animal fat.
    >sugar
It’s unhealthy but it’s cheap so it doesn’t get 1/10 of the shit it deserves.
    >carbs
Too many carbs are bad, specially went the population is becoming more and more sedentary. If anything they should try to reduce them because carbs=energy. But they are cheap, so eat those 4 times a day.
    >veggies
Healthy and cheap, that’s why veganism is so fricking shilled. However anyone whith basic nutrition knowledge knows that veggies are just there to compliment your meat. Alone by themselves they are insufficient.
    >fish
It’s objectively healthy (they tried to claim back then that fat from fish was unhealthy) but it’s expensive. That’s why you have so many mercury poisoning studies lately.
    >eggs
Yes, with each day that passes studies and medicine say they are great, but don’t eat too many goy. Stay cautious 🙂

Never mind their idiotic "But the land we use to grow feed for the cattle could be used to feed us!"

Except cattle is often fed the stuff we don't eat. Like, when we produce corn, we only eat the grain. Ever wonder what they do with the rest of the plant? They make kibble out of it. Cows, pigs and chickens love it. Same goes for most vegetables and fruits.

Animals eat plants you baka. You have to pay all the plants the livestock eats + the animal itself. If goys eat the livestock food it's more efficient.

The animals are fed wheat and corn and soi. I doubt it would be healthy to replace chicken breasts with corn and bread. Cows eat grass. I don't think it would be healthy to replace kefir, yogurt, milk, butter, and cheese with grass.

homie, you can do some research and see how much producing meat costs compared to cereals. Google is your firend.

That's completely wrong because it takes a lot more growing of pants to feed the animals. The fact that some beef is grass fed doesn't change how much corn, onions or alfalfa is grown specifically for feeding animals.

We've been overpopulated since the green revolution. The only reason modern populations are supported is because finite petrochemicals are used to produce fertilizer. Organic farming (even when it launders artificial nitrates from conventionally foddered manure) produces yields 20-30% lower than conventional. Or in other words, without petrochemicals, most of the world would starve - and we've artificially increased the population ceiling.

It's funny that one of the reasons vegans site for their refusal to eat meat is
    >we don't harm animals to survive!
Well, it turns out, and a moron could probably figure this out, that plants are living entities and they can move, they can communicate with other plants, and they can also "feel" "pain". Shocker that an entity that can grow can also experience adverse sensory effects when it is damaged/destroyed.
So, knowing that, if these objectively morally superior vegans/vegetarians still refuse to accept that we were born, unbidden by our own wills, into this cruel reality and to continue to exist within it we must harm and consume other beings, then they never really cared about "harm", or whatever the frick kindergarten excuse they use, and only did it for the painfully obvious excuse of some pallid popularity payoff.

Animals are similar enough to us that I have nothing but respect for the people that want to show them mercy. Those who don't harm their own kind should be the norm. Those who don't even harm similar kinds are just exceptional people. The problem is that they're wrong about plants being a viable nutrition source and costing less from the planet. Meat is basically super refined plants (via cows eating them and us eating cows) which is why we've grown to be what we are and if it were even possible to refine them that much ourselves without killing things with faces it would cost the same amount of resources and effect the environment all the same anyway.

        Anonymous

        >it would cost the same amount of resources and effect the environment all the same anyway
No, growing food specifically for all the animals in factory farms takes very, very much more resources and arable land than it takes to grow the plants to feed as much people as the factory farm feeds.

Because bugs appear to be an abundant source of protein but in reality it's an absurd amount of fiber that's humanly impossible to eat just to get how much you need in a day. Similar to plants but amplified by 1000. If they can this off it'll be the israelite move of the millenium.

  11. 2 years ago

    >Why does globohomosexual want to stop us from eating meat?

They're afraid of the future. They misunderstand economics, business and health.

They're afraid we won't have enough land to feed the population, so they want to replace livestock farming with the highest calorie per land use: fake meat and grains. Despite that most livestock graze on land that isn't suitable for agriculture.

They're afraid that fresh water will run out because cattle consume more of it than grains, so they want land to be used for grains. Despite that the majority of excess water livestock consumes includes water left in feed and rainwater in grass. Grass on hills you can't farm.

They're afraid the supply can't meet the demand of protein in the future, so they instead want to use the land to make fake meat which isn't as bioavailable, or use the grain to feed bugs, hoping for a SE asian style cultural shift, rather than raising more cattle.

They're afraid of global warming, so they want to replace livestock with grains despite the fact that cattle improves CO2 levels in soil, and as grains compost or break down, they release all their CO2. And because carbs aren't satiating and have to be processed, they'll double the amount of fuel use to transport it all.

And while they think they're helping the future, being moral, stopping needless dead cattle, they also profit.

They don't understand that animal fats are healthy. They don't care because seed oils cost nothing and the price controls on them keep them artificially cheap and they're probably the number one cause of heart disease. That cholesterol is necessary for testosterone production. That test is necessary for the future of the population, both men and women. The impossible burger has 0 cholesterol and estrogen levels fly through the roof after you consume one.

There are no healthy globohomosexual shills, even Arnold.

They are all cowards in corrupt circles, running on outdated data, who can't see the forest for the trees.

Meat production accounts for alot of damage to the environment. They're actually starting to get a little conscious about the fact that the earth is slowly becoming inhabitable and if they kill off all the slavestock who is gonna make them profits?
Also lab grown meat and meat substitutes are going to eventually become so cheap and fast to manufacture that simply the time and effort to grow an animal will be cost-ineffective.

Also my last tinfoil hat theory is that throughout history meat was reserved only for the elites and this is their way of slowly domesticating the masse. "Don't do the thing you want to do, think about the environment!" they say, so you eat the bugs. Meanwhile China and the Middle East have pumped more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than you have in your entire life.

Shoulders not big enough to be on gear

We've been overpopulated since the green revolution. The only reason modern populations are supported is because finite petrochemicals are used to produce fertilizer. Organic farming (even when it launders artificial nitrates from conventionally foddered manure) produces yields 20-30% lower than conventional. Or in other words, without petrochemicals, most of the world would starve - and we've artificially increased the population ceiling.

These morons on the right are DEF sick though. Vegan or not, you cant be a moron and be healthy. If youre gonna do veganism you better do it right. Get adequate exercise, sunlight, and eat real whole foods. Just because Oreos are vegan, doesnt mean that you should be eating them.

You should NOT be red. The bible details what you should be eating in an ideal lifestyle; Fruit bearing seed and herb of the field (Gen 1:29). Gods blessings are not given to the red skinned people (children of Esau), and will not inherit his kingdom. (Gen 25:25)

Whenever we consume food and our bodies begin to break it down, compounds called free radicals are formed. These free radicals are essentially unpaired electrons that can cause damage to our DNA, our cells, and other structures in our body. While our body does have a lot of defense mechanisms against this, fruits and vegetables come naturally packaged with antioxidants, which help neutralize these free radicals. Antioxidants are amazing because they decrease inflammation in our body, prevent damage to our DNA that could lead to cancer down the road and prevent damage to our blood vessels which could lead to the build-up of plaques.

When nearly everyone ears cheap meat every day, the only way to produce all that meat cheaply enough is factory farming where it's often just a lifetime of torture for the animals.
That shit is why there are so many people that think it's wrong to eat meat.

No, growing food specifically for all the animals in factory farms takes very, very much more resources and arable land than it takes to grow the plants to feed as much people as the factory farm feeds.

It's enough for just the first world to keep eating as much as we're currently eating to eventually make it impossible to produce as much meat as were eating now.
You'll eventually have to get rich to keep eating like you're currently eating because of how much destruction is necessary to sustain it.

Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.

So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days. And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat. Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

Because animal agriculture is responsible for 78% of agri land use but only produces 20% of global calories. By 2080 we will have exhausted almost all topsoil, meaning that our darns wont be able to produce anything, entailing global starvation regardless of stuff like water shortages. The western consumption of meat will doom humanity

This would require labor intensive farming practices - which is what mechanization and chemicals substitute for. This would make food prices spike.

No way around it, billions will starve. Hopefully we can limit to the <80 IQs, and hopefully we can stop them from breaking things.

Organic farming is basically impossible without livestock to break organic material down into manure. Conflating industrial farming with meat production is pants on head moronic.

There is no unringing the bell of the green revolution and the chemically intensive practices that came along with them, but for example even if we cut animal agriculture by half, we'd essentially be using 30% less land with the same calorie output, meaning either we can set aside huge swaths of arable land to naturally heal, or have lower crop yields on more land and practice regenerative agriculture to preserve and maintain topsoil.

Humanity's doom isnt a surefire thing, but it will be if we cant overpower our myopic greed. Half of the world starving will further destabilize the other half, and even people in the west will be starving in the topsoil-less scenario

Organic farming relies on laundered nitrogen and phosphates because the manure they import was not from animals fed with organic feed.

But yeah, the Global North should return to where its populations were in 1975 and the Global South to 1955 populations.

Every organic farmer I've seen on Youtube has some type of livestock, even a couple that I'm pretty sure are vegan. I guess these are homestead style farms and not industrial ones, but if they're not using compost and manure to fertilize how the frick can they be considered organic?

            Anonymous

Subsistence agriculture is much more expensive per calorie in either dollars or time. They almost certainly do not get all their calories from their plot. Their yields per acre are thoroughly unimpressive compared to small commercial organic farms (a few hundred acres), which are the ones that use the aforementioned laundered phosphates and nitrogren. And their yields are unimpressive compared to conventional agriculture, which relies on the Haber-Bosch process.

An all-organic world is the world of the 1900s, where food cost 20% of a family's monthly budget, populations were a fraction of what they are now, most people were 2-3" shorter than today, and crop failure was an actual concern.

A few of them are pretty close to 100% thanks to focusing heavily on potatoes/sweet potatoes, but for the most part they're producing calorie light fruits and vegetables since those are more profitable for home growing and small scale selling. Is there seriously a requirement that manure can only come from animals that ate only organic feed? That's absolutely moronic if true.

                Anonymous

                >Is there seriously a requirement that manure can only come from animals that ate only organic feed?
No, it's not a requirement; which is why you should be skeptical that the results of going full-organic would be anything besides billions dead and billions in permanent malnourishment. Commercial organic yields are artificially higher than what was simply agriculture pre-Green Revolution in part because the manure they import contains laundered nitrogrens and phosphates.

They want to free up the land. Currently farming takes up 65%+ of the land in any given country to create farms for animals and agriculture. Land which can be used to build more factories, warehouses, businesses, cities, towns, etc. Animals need more space than vegetables, so they can be removed to get that space faster. Insects are being shilled because they take up less space than traditional meat sources.
Bigger picture, climate change will at best be mitigated, not stopped, in our lifetimes we will see humanitarian disasters beyond our comprehension as oceans rise and wipe out coastal towns and cities (i.e. most towns and cities) forcing migration on the scale of billions inland. Where do we put them all? We don't have the space! It's all taken up by houses which belong to the rich who can afford to live in safety away from the tide. These elites are aware that if the plebs are homeless they will soon pick up pitchforks, so instead they provide them with cheap ghettos to live in. Where are these ghettos? Where the farms used to be. We will be housed in cramp buildings as our planet floods, fed bugs and vegetables as they will be the only things we can fit alongside our homes as land becomes more scarce, and we will be just comfortable enough to not revolt against our masters.

I used to eat minimum 500g of meat daily but I recently started doing 5 days on 2 days off vegetarianism. I agree with the broad environmental and ethical sentiments of veganism but I hate the culture and the health deficits. I actually feel like I have more energy now and the 2 meat days are a real treat.
