meme or will this help me get in shape?
also, can I do the 'bench press' with dumbbells that I have at home instead? what would be the difference if I hold it as if it was a barbell

One part of the larger puzzle
>will this get me in shape
Yes. You won't build something that you can step on stage with but it'll get you in good shape
>dumbbells
Arguably better than a barbell. If they're not adjustable the limitation will be that you can only add reps for so long before it's useless
oh thanks, I just got the other part for some reason
>Yes. You won't build something that you can step on stage with but it'll get you in good shape
im skinny fat, I just want to look better, idc about other shit
>Arguably better than a barbell. If they're not adjustable the limitation will be that you can only add reps for so long before it's useless
they are adjustable quite a bit actually. thanks bro, ill get to work starting today. I dont have a bench so Ill have to use like 3 chairs and lay on them
It'd be a lot safer to do it as a floor press until you can get ahold of a bench. I'd recommend checking out places like FB marketplace for a cheap one. By now the new years resolutioners have given up and are trying to get rid of the gym equipment they bought
safer as in chair would break?
whats the benefit of the bench over floor anyway?
>chairs
Not that the chair would break, but it's not as safe as a bench or the floor. A bench is one solid piece so it'll move as a solid piece. Its really stable. 3 chairs being all separate means you'll need to work harder to balance and that's not something you want to try to do when you're moving heavy weight
>bench over floor
You can get a deeper stretch on the pecs which will make your chest grow even more. It'll also give you the opportunity to include things like one arm dumbbell rows, split squats, pullovers, and other really fun, effective lifts that you can sub in if you get bored of the 3 in the infographic
alright thanks bro
is it really doable in 3-6 months if im skinny fat tho?
100%. That's a realistic timeframe to look good starting as skinnyfat
well its pretty much march now, so I should be looking better by august in that case, Ill take pics every week to see if theres any progress
also any recommendations on what to eat? I dont really have time to cook, I live at home so I eat my mothers cooking, but I can get daily eggs/oatmeal breakfast I suppose
Doing any lifting and physical activity will HELP you get in shape. Will it be the most efficient way of doing so? Who knows, try it out.
Is minimalistic workouts just SS? Just do SS in that case; go easy on bulking though
the workout is fine and will get you in good shape
you won't look like peak Brad fucking Pitt in a couple months though, the bottom half is 100% cap
retards don't understand that brad had already been lifting for like a decade before that movie was filmed just cuz he's not IFBB pro bodybuilder huge
Also dumbbell press is perfectly fine, but don't use a chair as a bench, it's dangerous and not worth the risk. Just floor press as the other anon said.
thanks anon
you can literally group all 3 of those lifts into 1 workout, and do 3x/week full body
OP is retarded
read what I asked, you fucking moron
What about squats no barbell? My apartment has dumbells and a rack but no BB. Would be nice not to have to get a gym membership.
just did the first squat workout, tired just after 5x7.
ive got no stamina, hopefully it gets better
Of course it will
Well actually, it'll stay the same, but you'll get better
Remember this feeling, so you can look back in the future with some perspective, and see how far you've come
Somewhere itt you said you'd take pics to "see if there's any progress". You need to get right with the fact that often you won't see any progress at all. Lifting is an act of faith, you have to trust in the process and just keep working hard even when you're tired and thinking "what's the point" just do it over and over again, make it something you just do, and the gains will come.
