Got one of these two weeks ago. Restored my pain-free neck mobility quite well by hammering on my extremely tight neck/traps. Relieves my wife's upper back pain also.
You can increase mobility in the shoulder, hamstrings, and calves by finding the right areas. Probably not a very persistent effect. For recovery, doubt it does anything. Well worth the 80 € for me, got it to reach my traps better than a lacrosse ball.
