Men's only Gym/recreation center

Do you think a gym that was meant for men only would be successful or do you think simps and women would try to make it more "inclusive". Think a gym like Lucielle Robert's (women's only gym in NY) but with sport amenities for things like pick up games or leagues as well? Driving around the other day it crossed my mind between driving past a Lucille Robert's and the recent trend of thots getting called out for recording in gyms.

I think it may be successful, but it'll be full of creeps and weirdos like the hacker IST. It may also attract a lot of gay guys who think it's a gay-focused gym.

Everyone is allowed at those these days.

Just because jt would attract a lot of a certain kind of people doesn't mean you can't enforce the same rules most gyms have and the based ones enforce. No recording, no photography in locker rooms etc. There's a place in Rhode Island called the preserve. It's basically similar in concept minus the men only thing but is focused on golf and shooting sports and is expensive as hell. I think it would be cool. You can hit the gym, play basket ball, tennis, maybe go outside to a turf field and play pick up soccer or foot ball. If you have enough space ypu can build a par 3 9 hole golf course. I wonder why no one had tried open just s gym for guys though.

Not anymore it's not. I've been a member at ymca for almost a decade and recently decided to quit because of the amount of narcissistic fitspo thinspo mother frickers crowding my gym. Especially the gym thots that think they're tough just because they wake up at opening hours to narcissisticly ego lift like a prostitute and selfishly use up multiple areas to do shit like ez bar Squats in a fricking power rack with kettle bells when they can do that shit in a fricking studio. Frick women. I want a men only gym. When I was younger I went to Iron Sport gym in PA outside of Philly and it was practically heaven. If I still lived in that area I'd still be going there. Men only gyms definitely exist as power lifting or cross fit gyms. Basically any niche sport involving strength and endurance that has a gym will be most male, but never men only which is good enough for me but very rare.

        >CrossFit
        >Men only

This has to be a joke. The majority of members at my box are women. Every Monday and Thursday the ratio is almost 3/1 because it's gal pal workout night. The gym is littered with spinsters on weekends. The only time it's male-only / majority serious people is the 5 AM class. Sure, it's not the Insta-thot crowd (they're scared off by the price tag) and they're mostly serious but CrossFit is absolutely a woman's space now.

It's actually really nice. At my undergrad university it was universally understood that women only knew our uni had 1 gym but didn't know you could walk further for a deeper and more expansive 2nd gymnasium full with Olympic bar stations, indoor soccer court, hockey, basketball courts, ping pong tables, treadmills, heavy bags, everything you could ever want.

Basically the gym thots only stayed in the first quarter of the gym because that's where all the mirrors were and some cages and adductor/abductor machines to admire their own ass.

I met so many gym bros and established plenty of drinking buddies there. Plus, the chicks in the first part of the gym were basically a display gallery before my real pumps.

I'm surprised no one has tried to even attempt to open a men's only gym. I wonder, if it became successful, would people try to shut it down. At least here in NY we would be able to tell women to go to look at Lucille Robert's and say why they deserve their own space. But im sure their hamster wheels would try to justify why they need it but we don't.

It would turn into a gay gym 100%. For better or worse. You'd get a small segment of people trying to shut it down but they'd leave after realizing it's just a bunch of twinks and bears ogling each other

In a city, yes, that would be the case. Wouldn't be an issue in suburban areas considering how the only people who would give a shit are liberal shitholes.

It would be attacked instantly, and there would be scores of women trying to be the first in there. Then they would all frick off after the owner inevitably caved, and the place would go bankrupt in short order from lawsuits and the like.

It's a great idea, we need places like that, and it will never happen.

My idea isn't a gym only thing. More of a recreational facility. Yes if you didnt do anything wrong you shouldn't be worried but let's be real here, how many of those thots on tiktok are getting kicked out of the gym?

Couldn't you just throw a place like Lucille Robert's under the bus though? If a judge were to say a men's only gym is discriminatory then Lucille Robert's should be forced to allow men.

I know that it's never cared about fairness. But just because someone is making something unfair doesn't mean you can't take your opposition down with you. Also it wouldn't be a good idea to open a place like this in Portland or Seattle.

You could keep flinging shit but the point still stands. If you couldn't take them down in court you might as well pay that budlight troony to try and get a membership with them and when they can't, post to Twitter and let Twitter get rabid about it.

  5. 11 months ago
    Anonymous

The most profitable demographic are women. Women sign up, they pay for their membership, but only a minority really goes to the gym. And those who visit your gym regularly can be upsold with some other shit to make a profit. So your business model is ignoring way way more than 50% of potential revenue.
You sure as hell won't get rich with a men's only gym because...
    >libtards are going to attack, I'm not even sure if it is legal to run a men's only gym
    >assuming it is legal you'll have to compete with established gym companies and their memebership will be cheaper (and men
    >you won't be able to offer a competitive price because men do use your gym and you are limited due to time and space
    >your equipment will wear out faster, this means more running costs

      Anonymous

You honestly don't think more guys would sign up to use other things like the sports leagues? There's a place near me that is an indoor tennis place with a gym and stuff. If they weren't getting rid of the gym , I would have absolutely gotten a membership with them.

        Anonymous

I'm viewing this strictly from a business perspective. The more you offer, the more running costs you'll have to deal with. This means you'll have to increase the price for a membership. A tennis court takes a lot of space you could use for equipment. Is it worth it? You can run the numbers pretty easy on this, just play around in Excel. Remember that you should not only be profitable, but you should be able to earn a proper living. Would you waste your time running a gym for minimum wage when you could earn more in less time doing something else?

          Anonymous

No I wouldn't but it doesnt mean it can't work out either. I genuinely think thay even if you didn't have as much. Maybe 2 outdoor courts an indoor basketball court or racquet ball and the rest is a gym basically the size of an LA Fitness you could do really well and a lot of guys would go. The biggest obstacle I think would be women and simps who claim the facility is discriminatory. Like I wouldn't want to open a flagship place in cities like Portland, OR or Seattle.

            Anonymous

It really depends on the location, but I have serious doubts that it would do well. Like I said in my first post, you won't get rich with this business model. A normal salary maybe.

              Anonymous

Maybe but being a male only space you dont think influential people would join knowing they can discuss what ever they want? Would be a great networking hub. He'll this is the exact reason the boy scouts were forced to allow girls. Parents claimed the boyscouts gave more opportunities for growth and networking. They did fine all these years without women.

                Anonymous

We are talking past eachother a little bit. I'm looking at it as a business, your view is more ideological. I agree with you, there needs to be men/boys only spaces and in my opinion it is way easier to achieve as it seems. You have it keep it very small. Instead of trying to create another buraucracy monster like boyscouts that is easily infiltrated by your enemies just do it on a tiny scale. Way easier to organise and control when you have only 20 kids. If you are successful people are going to copy you. Somebody is going to create another 20 kids boyscout group in his community. And this goes on and one, spreading all over the country. Impossible to infilitrate and corrupt thousands of small tight communities. Don't give the iron law of oligarchy any chance. The same could be done with gyms. Rent some garage with five friends, share the costs and put a proper home gym in it.

                Anonymous

That would be pretty based ngl to literally just rent a place and workout there. If it were feasible and I knew people I'd totally rent one of the garages at my apartment complex for that.

Gyms were nothing but men until the mid-late 80's. Why wouldn't it work?

      Anonymous

Because in modern times you have more people crying about places not being inclusive enough as others pointed out in this thread. I've read accounts from people about how they're treated by men vs women in the gym as a new guy. If you exclude buttholes on both sides men are more likely to offer advice and help while women Leer at you like you're an inconvenience to their view. The biggest argument I've seen from the women's side of things is not that it's discriminatory, but that they miss out on "networking". You know because there's no influential women out there.

Whats wrong with having women at the gym

      Anonymous

Nothing. It's a question of curiosity. Like I said, near me there are multiple women only facilities. Do you think a place that was for men only would be successful. If you wanted to go into reasons why women in the gym is a problem, look at the trend of all the women who are trying to start shit when they're recording their ass in yoga pants and see pic related.

        >Do you think a place that was for men only would be successful
No because its pretty gay. If i had to be surrounded by normies when im working out, id rather look at a bunch of women then a bunch of men.
        >If you wanted to go into reasons why women in the gym is a problem, look at the trend of all the women who are trying to start shit when they're recording their ass in yoga pants and see pic related.
And they all get ridiculed on social media and everybody can see through them and see that they are only doing it for views. Why should i be scared if i didnt do anything wrong
Personally i can see the appeal of a kind of gentlemens club. Not purely as a gym. But more of a place where men can hang out and drinks and socialize and so on. That would be cool. A gym only would be boring.

Woman detected. I would kill for a men-only gym, precisely because I'm not homosexual and women distract me.

Let not let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch. How many women do you think are out there deliberately trying to incriminate innocent men? Not many id say. Itd be like women thinking men are all rapists and perverts. Good women and good men are in this together.

I googled that place you mentioned. The women who founded them died in 2003. Way before any of these social media even existed. So those places existing have nothing to do with the current social and political climate.
If you dont like the behaviour of the women you talk about, stand up and tell them off when you see it happen in real life. Opening a gym for men and lettint those thots drive you out of the gym when you yourself have done nothing wrong is moronic

It exists. They are not labeled as "men only" but it exists.
Generally, it's always this small gym in a small, unpretentious town with a maximum of 15 people at peak times.
The guy holding this is usually single owner, has a mustache, and is a former pro.
There are usually 5 regulars with:
    - 50-year-old still lifting weights with 35 years of body behind him
    - a 35/40 guy who training to compete
    - 3 guys aged from 16 to 25 who are discovering bodybuilding

I was going to say something similar. A men’s only gym doesn’t have to be called such. It is just a gym without mirrors, treadmills, stair masters, and whatever other equipment women use.
I go to an MMA gym it is probably 90-95% male. Of the women there only a couple of them do the annoying female stuff of recording themselves

  12. 11 months ago

I honestly think there are too many simps who want to check out women while they work out for a men’s only gym to be financially viable. Something where you rented out a space and put in a small home gym and shared the cost with a couple like-minded bros would work, however this wouldn’t be a business venture, more of a hobby. As soon as you try to scale it, you have to dilute the concept for the lowest common denominator, which is simps and thots.
