This post might seem based at first due to the poster hating israelites, but don't be fooled. Since he hates milk we can reasonably infer that he's lactose intolerant and therefore non-white. Most likely he is a dirty sandBlack person.

Lactose intolerance never used to be a problem in the days when people were drinking raw milk. All the non-white cultures that lack lactase persistence used to drink tons of milk in the past with no issue. What changed? Pasteurization. The more heavily pasteurized milk becomes the more people seem to have lactose intolerance, almost as if pasteurization itself makes the milk more difficult to digest in all people and therefore demands a much greater level of lactase persistence than is required to consume raw, unadulterated milk.

I know this from personal experience as well, I don't tolerate milk from the store well at all and have always been considered lactose intolerance, but since switching to raw milk I can drink a quarter gallon of the stuff every single day with ZERO ill effects. If I drank that much pasteurized milk at once I'd have bubble guts and the shits guaranteed, but raw milk gives me no such issue.

Onions milk and onions as a meat protein alternative is a horrible idea. The idea that Asian cuisines rely heavily on it is a myth. No one in Asia eats onions in the same volume its presented in North America. Which is why it fricks up guys so hard when they include it in their diet.

Yes? Chickens eat bugs, then make eggs. Does that make eggs bugs? Proteins are broken down and reassembled by living things.

You're missing the point, you pedantic moron, things eat things, break them down and transform the proteins, and then those things get eaten and transformed.

Can I ask you a question? What would happen to a human being if they ate a diet of white sugar, parsnips and egg yolks? Is it conceivable that their organs and muscle tissue wouldn't be in optimal health and that they would suffer maladies eating a restricted and unnatural synthetic diet? Is it reasonable to assume a human being eating what a human being was meant to eat would be in much better health if they ate their natural diet?

That's awfully presumptuous of you. Not everyone gets standard caged eggs, plenty of us get eggs from local farms with pasture-raised chickens who do in fact eat bugs.

I have 9 chickens and I generally feed them around a half scoop of feed every other day. Maybe about 2 cups of feed in my half scoop? I can go a few extra days and they just scavenge a bit more, sometimes I like to test it but even if there's feed in their coop they are out there scratching away. Leghorns are the best, i saw one pull an entire fat nightcrawler out of the mud and devour it. Plus they lay the biggest eggs, they are just a bit more wild and loud, but since I got no real neighbors they are perfect for me. I buy my feed from a co-op in town. I live in a small town with around 1000 people.

            Based farmer.

I'm just starting really, my sheep should give birth soon and then I'll really be making some meat.

I used to live in San jose but moved to Oregon recently, I had 2 backyard chickens til a neighbors dog jumped the fence and killed them. They are extremely low maintenance, you buy lil chicks from a farm supply store or co-op and raise em for about a month (based on the weather) and put em in a coop (a simple structure you can easily build with nesting boxes and a little door, Google em) and put a little fenced area. I live in such an isolated area that they fly over my fence and basically go wherever they want, but they know the coop is their friend. The worst part about where I am is predators, I had a chicken die and put out a trap baited with a chicken wing and caught a fox. It was growling at me like crazy but I killed it, didn't really want to but I didn't see another way, if I drove it far away it would just start harassing some other livestock. Chickens are a great starting farm pet because all they need is water and the occasional scoop of feed. Lambs are even easier in a way because they eat grass so all you need to do is water em. I have katahdin sheep which are hair sheep so no shearing. For sheep you need to fence off a big ass area but once that's done they are pretty easy to raise too.

Yeah... we have foxes here..pic related.

                Also breed suggestions?
I might not get the choice of the "Best" so some kind of priority list would be great.
Something that can scavenge for bugs itself, because the quality of seed feed is questionable for egg quality in my opinion.
It gets 20C cold here in winter if temp is a consideration.

                Anonymous

                Hmm, 20c is 68f
Well it gets down to 20f here and the chickens go through the snow foraging. They're basically big balls of insulation.
There are 3 basic chicken types as far as I know
Layers, the best layers are leghorns, but they might start laying somewhere you don't expect, their eggs are beyond jumbo and they lay eggs every single day even in the coldest part of winter (here at least)
Dual purpose, I also have rhode island reds, and they are much more passive and stay around the coop more, I shit you not one time a leghorn got on the roof of my 2 story house, no idea how it got there lol I don't really plan to eat them but got them for some variety and so I could compare breeds, I want more leghorns. In a punch the Rhode island reds body is far larger and would be better eating.
Meat chickens, I think I'd rather get some turkeys, if I'm gonna butcher and pluck a bird I want a good 20lbs of meat, not just a chicken for dinner.
TLDR: get leghorns for the best eggs, get any other layer for less aggressive and wild birds, and I think I'm gonna get some turkeys soon for meat.

I don't know for sure but I'd bet if the chickens are grown they will be fine. They might stick to the coop and u gotta feed em more. I don't worry about feed since I buy my stuff from a local coop not some massive company. Heat is far more dangerous to chickens from what I've heard.

Very nice. It is illegal to sell raw milk where I love. I am in Canada. God bless our benevolent and altruistic leaders, saving the people from getting sick from the dangerous raw dairy. Must be cooked at very high heats to destroy all the enzymes.

The pasteurization process ruins the milk. It's only gotten worse as pasteurization has gotten higher temperature and more thorough, not to mention how high pressure homogenization breaks up all the fat that normally helps encase the lactose to slow its digestion. Between the destroyed enzymes and the killed lactose-eating (beneficial) bacteria and the destruction of the fats and proteins, pasteurized milk is a massive sugar bomb for the gut while raw milk is not.

We feed cows (read as ruminant animals) cheap crops and then they up-convert them into highly bioavalible vitamins, protein, and fat. That process also follows for the milk they produce.
