I still like watching Men's Open bodybuilding because it's interesting to see the human body at the extremes. Some of them are also pretty aesthetic, too (usually the Black guys with absurd genetics).

Ramon brutally arm mogs CBum
The open division died when they put the strap on an Iranian midget. Truly an antidraw. Very disappointing.
Hadi has an incredible physique. Good proportions, crazy legs, always brings ridiculous conditioning. Don't know what his nationality or height has to do with anything. He deserved to win it this year.

I bet you thought Zane should’ve won in 1980 as well. CBum, as was Arnold, are who are best for business.

He's the most "relatable" out of all the current bodybuilders. He's still beyond the realm of possibility for 99% of lifters, but he's personable and at least looks good. Still massive and clearly has body dysmorphia, but he looks more "real" than open body builders.
It's just like how powerlifting lost all its normie appeal. Once they got into minmaxing roms and hilarious bench press ROM and sumo pulls, it became a parody of itself and was seen in the same light as geared lifting: ridiculous.
When it was Ronnie and the guys, they were charismatic and had storylines. And importantly, physique was dumb to watch. But with the classic division, you have something that people can see as "aesthetic" instead of grotesque.

this happend literally before you were born, and in the last decade or so powerlifting has grown exponentially, so idk maybe youre wrong lul
>and in the last decade or so powerlifting has grown exponentially, so idk maybe youre wrong lul
The absolute OPPOSITE happened. We saw a huge rise in popularity in the early 2010s when RAW powerlifting got huge. Dan Green and the animal cage and all that shit. People loved that it was huge, but not fat bloatlords, lifting huge weight with nothing extra aside from a belt. No squat diapers, just raw lifting. Then, as powerlifters began to take advantage of the rules and began minmaxing everything, people stopped caring about powerlifting.
So idk, looks like you're kinda wrong and don't know what you're talking about. Sounds like you've only been lifting for 5 years or so at most.
Dude shut the frick up you have never seen real raw powerlifting you are such a fraud and you type like a woman. You have one Maddox and the rest look like this. You literally see more ROM in equipped lifting. Everyone is a "fan" of raw lifting until they actually see it.
The classic physique category should be the Mr Olympia headline and show ender. The open body building guys should go on BEFORE the classic guys. Classic physique category is what the IFBB should be pushing. Open body building is turning into something disgusting and not relatable
With that said, guys like Andrew Jacked are the future of open body building but it will be a few years before they give him the title. In the mean time we are going to be watching guys manlets who are shaped like 280lb bricks like Nick Walker take it.
>a few years before they give him the title
This will never happen. The criteria prioritize apparent mass and conditioning. His height means he can't compete on apparent mass and people like Hadi have better conditioning.
>He will be on the same tier as Arnold and Ronnie
True and real. He could win 20 titles in a row as long as they don't change the rules. 6'1" is the perfect height especially when you have 3 inches of extra neck.
i’m on the CBum diet.. i see bum, i eat it!
This tbqh
I’m not getting the hype here.
commercial bodybuilding in general is repulsive, but le >op*n division is truly an extraterrestrial abomination

Looks like fricking strogonoff
That dude is likely going to die within 10 years.

Ramon brutally arm mogs CBum
>Ramon is two steps closer to the camera

Totally assymetric arms
