          I'm not sure where to start though, I hear all the scare stories about SS and how they all get fat and go trex mode. Others say 3x5/5x5 is only for strength, others say that hypertrophy routines are intermediate only and novices should always start on strength programs.

            Do you think that happens over night? Beginner programs are designed to keep it simple, teach you the lifts, give you enough time to recover and gain as much strength as possible during a time where gains come easy. Once you know good form for all the lifts and you have built a good strength base you can then add more volume and frequency on a different program, and it doesn't really matter what program since you are probably only going to stick 8-12 weeks to that specific one before you make modifications or switch to a different routine. Now should you start out with SS? I don't think it matters, but whatever program you choose should be basic, built around the big lifts and 3-4 days per week.

    Well not everyone lives in paradise. Where I live you can go to the beach and 80% of the guys are jacked and shredded with some clearly on steroids while 95% of women are overweight and out of shape with cellulite and wouldn't even acknowledge your existence.

      Same Im on Spain and I dont know if the average dude takes steroids or sarms but even older teens are bigger on average than OP,and many people are noticeable shredded and muscular at the beach.

        I think it's because these days men have no other choice but to lift and get juicy and the ones that don't probably won't go to the beach. I guess most of them are SARMS or a cycle and only shredded for summer. Still, it's insane how many roided guys I see. I have a pretty good body but as a natty I'm just getting mogged at the beach.
