literally this, even if OP isn't actually a neet anime incel. I'm amazing at all the people here who are obsessed with eating at a caloric deficit so they can maintain their relatively sedentary lifestyle (spoiler: you can have a technically sedentary lifestyle even if you are a student, as long as you are spending enough of your time sitting or immobile). Just eat at or above your maintenance--- not significantly above--- and increase your activity level. Do simple calisthenics when you hang out watching tv. Do pushups or handstands throughout the day. Fit in quick runs if you have time. After years of dieting, I started doing this and finally have my goal body with abs, and I don't count calories anymore (only macros). It's cheatmode

How the fuck am I supposed to lose weight without severely under eating?
If that is actually your TDEE then you wouldn't be "severely" undereating since you would be technically eating the perfect amount at 1400. Manage your hunger better if you think eating your TDEE is undereating retard. Also I have a hard time believing that is actually your TDEE unless you are 5ft 100lbs. If that is the case you have no business trying to lose weight.
yeah so if you eat at a slight deficit you won’t be “severely undereating” you’ll be at a slight deficit and you’ll be fine. your TDEE probably isn’t 1400 though.
You could go down to like 1100 a day and be okay as long as you're eating micronutrient dense foods like eggs, beef, kiwis, etc. Don't drop your fats to nothing because you'll be even more sensitive to hormonal disruptions than men are to very low fat diets. You'd be fine relying on cardio being that small honestly. It'd be a lot easier on your joints than someone bigger and you have that estrogen advantage for recovering from high volume exercise.
If you have too many side effects from eating under maintenance (e.g., reduced mood that makes it less likely for you to exercise) you can go the body recomposition route. It's very slow from my understanding, but you can train hard while eating around maintenance and see recomp. You must make sure you are doing some form of progressive overload though, your body needs a good reason to change, otherwise why would it recomp?
I am not stating that you can convert fat into muscle directly, but rather that your body can both burn fat and build muscle over a period of time. If you have adequate protein in your diet and a stimulus for muscle growth, you can build muscle even on a maintenance diet. The body prefers carbohydrates and fats as fuel sources, protein is more useful for other things.
No, I'm 160lb 5'9 kinda lean. I just walk back and forth in my house all day while daydreaming or listening to music and that's enough to make my TDEE around 3600-4000 depending on the day
>1000kcal just from walking around
Bullshit
I used to hit a daily average of 20-25k steps at speeds just under racewalking + gym time and the most I got was 1250 calories added
Sure, it's a lot, but that was a shit ton of moving around I did
I'm 5' and my tdee is 1400 and I'm thin. Are you trying to be super skinny? You're either under 5' (and probably still not overweight) or you're trying to go for ultra-thin.
Either way, if you don't want to eat more, start lifting and keep eating as you already are. Your scale will move slowly but your measurements will change. The extra movement will burn more calories than you're eating, and you'll get better definition. It's lovely. Keep your head in the game, good luck.

I'm trying to eat under my tdee to lose weight not 1400 calories

Why are you trying to lose weight if your tdee is already so low? How much do you weigh now?
I'm less than 60kg (manlet obviously) and my TDEE is around 1800, what the fuck are you, a gnome?
You're either a woman, less than 100 pounds, or have famine genetics. Which one is it so I can help?
Woman and short

You should add some activity to make your deficit larger, instead of just cutting food intake.
We got ourselves a fucking Warwick Davis here
Fasting
Makes sense. Eat your TDEE minus 200-500 calories. It’s not undereating because women do not need as many calories as men.
Just walk. I easily add 1000kcal per day just be walking around
>I easily add 1000kcal per day just be walking around
are you like 500lbs?
No, I'm 160lb 5'9 kinda lean. I just walk back and forth in my house all day while daydreaming or listening to music and that's enough to make my TDEE around 3600-4000 depending on the day
you walk 10+ miles just in your house?

Not OP, but my TDEE is 1400 as well, and walking 1h makes me burn 90 calories. It's like an apple.
Just do high protein, low carb, low fat twice a week and eat at maintenance the rest of the time. Diets don't have to be all or nothing.
How is it 1400?
I am underweight and a manlet at 5'6 yet my TDEE is still 1700
5,6 isn't short
The calculator says I they recommended I eat 900 calories for a deficit
>1200 calories a day will make me severely malnourished
Amerifat mentality.
Eat:
>1lb-2lb+ Broccoli/spinach
>3 eggs
>30g nuts
>Chicken/salmon to limit
Easy peasy

Yeah I'm average European weight not overweight or anything I just want to be skinnier
>tfw TDE is 3,400 calories
>cut to 3,000
>feel like I'm starving
Feel sorry for you skinny fags. Must suck to have the metabolism of an 80 year old.
Move more and learned how to eat 1000 calories a day, still how fucking short are you?
I'm a sedentary woman and my tdee is 1600 calories
Like 5 foot
Just fast for three weeks
Fuck
