You train neck buddy? >They also note every one pound increase in neck strength leads to a decrease in five percent chance of sustaining a concussion.
Do neck training to keep your brain fit, and make you invincible to punches.
Do like an SS program for heavy neck curls, along with higher reps for more endurance.
you're probably gonna vomit from nerves right before the fight. thats normal. what they dont tell you is to take an enema before the fight.
A hard gutshot to the kidneys or liver will make you wanna puke 90% of the time, but the other 10% you're gonna wanna shit, and brother you dont want anything in your ass when that happens
I never get why competing in this kind of sports if you're not going to get money from it, want a test? Spar with a good guy or go to other gyms to train, why risking brain damage just because?
t. guy who regularly train muay thai, mma and bjj lmao
not OP but I did 1 amateur fight just to try it out then went back to sparring/training like I was. It was alright but you're right; unless it's your job and you're getting dosh for the risk there's little reason to do that shit
I train to be healthy and ready, not to "test me" since I do that during training and sparring, I do things good and things bad, I won't brag and rarely do spar wars
why do you train? to fight amateur a few times?
Yes, I train in boxing so I can compete in boxing.
I cant imagine training poorly getting sub concussive hits for no reason at all lmao what a loser.

to compete a few times just because or to have a career? are you planing to get brain damage because you expect to win money from it or just because you find it amusing doing it before a crowd? >nooo don't spar with me I might get hurt!! just let me box, coach I'm ready
are you retarded?

you don't know what I do but ok, if you feel good, it's okay
It's probably fun and you get a couple of knockouts in your life before you lose intelligence. Large concussive injuries are less harmful than repeated sub-concussive injuries. You'll be more lucid if you fight every once in a while but always light spar, than if you hard spar all the time but rarely fight.
Make sure you have a snack and pedialite after you weigh in
For novice boxing bouts the aggressor moving forward will most likely get the win. Youll throw A LOT more 1-2s than you expect once youre in the fight.
Greatest feeling in the world getting your hand raised after a tough bout so good luck friend
go in hard and aggressive the first round
there is a 50% chance the other guy will cuck out and you won the mental game
unless he is already seasoned than just try to to keep your nerves and enjoy it
just stick to the fundamentals
>my very first amateur boxing match is on this sa-ACK
knock em out champ
yep, that's the plan
>yep, that's the pl-ACK
You train neck buddy?

>You train neck buddy?
of course, i mainly do neck curls like pic related
So how's your sparring? Do you feel like neck training made you resist punches better?
Don't forget side neck curls for tanking hooks.
Slap your opponents ass before the match, that will throw off their focus

Hit your opponent and avoid being hit by your opponent. Hope this helps.

As someone who trains to box and has had two actual bouts, once you have your first fight you look down on people who think like you
wow, you really showed me, I'm scared now
i dont care, I see first hand the type of guy who doesn't compete but does "spar wars"
You guys are usually losers who cant fight very well and are afraid to compete. Why even train at all at that point?
I train to be healthy and ready, not to "test me" since I do that during training and sparring, I do things good and things bad, I won't brag and rarely do spar wars

knockouts in amateur boxing are quite rare, if anything more people who get "TKOed" protest the ref stopping the fight than are getting pummeled
The thrill of combat, there's nothing wrong with trying it once.
