I use LoseIt. You can go in and adjust the calories to gain, and aside from a frick ton of annoying questions during the onboarding that don’t do jack shit, the app is actually really pleasant to use
I use Daylio. Have been for a while (apparently I had my phone replaced by insurance 57 days ago).
It's honestly everything you need, I tried two or three different apps before I found Daylio, realised it was perfectly designed, and purchased it.
The best thing about it is it knows its place, you spend 30 minutes setting it up, and 5 minutes or less per day making an entry. The last thing you want is to waste a third of your productive time trying to optimise productivity, Daylio keeps it simple while still providing everything you need, it's also very customisable, with a lot of different options.
My stack of fit apps are: FitNotes for lifting (has a pro version since recently, maybe try getting an older APK), FitoTrack for outdoors cardio (open source) and ViCa Calculator for nutrition. Can't complain.
all of these are free and open source so no paid version or ads, but if you can spare the time, making sure to report any bugs and discuss features helps make them better. they can also export data as a csv so if youre a spreadsheet autist you can get much more than myfitnesspal
I tried Waistline for a while, but switched back to Macros - Calorie Counter.
The features I was missing the most were easy copy pasting of meals, kcal & macro values per meal and the option to add a saved meal as one item.
The paid version of Macros is cheap and also allows for exporting data, although not automatically like with Waistline. The paid version isn't necessary at all, if you don't want to export data.
For what? food tracking? what is the paid features?
Cronometer is better anyway

You could simply not pay for MyFitnessPal like I do. Literally just click the x when it asks you for money.

I'll have made it when it's just one teal streak at the top.

what the frick else do you want other than tracking your food, you want babysitting mf????
I'd unironically pay $130 for a babysitter (female) to sit and watch me workout tbh
The free version is amazing. How do they even make money? The ads are very unobtrusive. Selling data?
