I've learned ~~*grifters*~~ will disguise common sense as ancient advice to get you to agree with them, then sneak in some kind of psyop or demoralization propaganda to weaken your spirit.

The irony that a man who actually dresses like that (and inhabits, not as a costume) has never read of those and never will.

I've learnt my TL from reading a self improvement book
Anyway there's one self improvement book that I wish I had actually learnt anything from and it was this piece of shit
I have tried learning from it 4 times in my life and every single time I fail
Also tried using Faber's adult piano adventures but stopped after 50 pages

I also tried this one and got filtered
I guess it's frustrating because it's hard to maintain motivation
With language learning you steadily improve and you can verify your improvement by your ability to comprehend your TL
With drawing it's just drawing endless pages of shapes and simple things
When you try to draw something real you realise you're terrible and it's disheartening
When I tried reading a text that was way above my level it just motivated me to study more
Motivation is probably the most important thing for people doing self-guided education but it seems underrated as a topic

        >guide on how to force yourself to draw in somebody else's style
who the frick thinks this is a good idea?

Loomis is just for learning the basic rules of thumb that artists should intuitively have a handle on. He doesn't teach you "how to draw" so much as how to look at things and the very basics of what does or doesn't make sense for poses and the human figure.

It's all about getting started, isn't that what they do in schools?

The Republic is a book that it's a very good idea NOT to read until you have the sense to pick up how to interpret it. Please just read the Meno or Gorgias or something a bit more to the point first.

Capital can be disrupted in the point of production and in the point of reproduction of actually living labour. Capital volume 1 is a great self-help book.

You have to keep desire white hot. You have to master keeping your desires white hot within you. Gain the skill of making something your desire, and making that desire white hot.

Also, that list is fricking useless man. You're better off choosing one solid category and reading 18 serious books in that category, than 18 books for young male dilettantes, no offense. Just telling you like it is, Zooms.
