I said in another post I've been lifting for a year inconsistently. for at least half of that year I was eating shit processed foods. Gains are suboptimal but with consistency and eating a lot less shit food I hope to see better gainz.
I walk around 1-2 miles 4 days a week due to job so hopefully I'm good there. I mainly just want to maximize heart health.
I get blood work every 3 months. Until I see any negative changes, I'm gonna continue eating soi and vaping.
The one thing I do really well is sleeping on a consistent timeframe and getting 6-7 hours a night minimum. Maybe that's helped quite a bit.

it puts you into ketosis by draining your glycogen stores so that your body is forced to burn whatever it can for energy and it prefers to burn amino acids/protein (mainly from muscle)
so you can imagine this is counter productive for gains but also its very rough on the kidneys bc burning amino acids creates ammonia, which the kidneys have to filter from the blood
marathon runners create so much ammonia from this process that at the end of a marathon, 90% of runners are suffering from acute kidney failure (which they recover from, but kidney failure is horrible no matter how you spin it)
so dont do intense cardio for any period that can be categorised as "endurance"
walking is the perfect intensity and walking an hour a day is really all a man needs
short duration cardio is also okay, like sprints or interval rowing, but again, it shouldnt be stressful and you shouldnt drain your glycogen and shouldnt be relying on lactic acid fermentation

I've lived a sedentary lifestyle, never worked out or did any sports, was essentially bouncing between skinnyfat and chubbyfat all my life, ate nothing but garbage poor people processed food and my testosterone was ~800ng/dL at age 25 around 3 years ago (I even intentionally didn't sleep and jacked off like 4 times before the test because I was hoping that my t would be extremely low and I could get a prescription)

I eat a lot of fruits and veggies, and unprocessed meats. I sleep 6-7 hours a night at the same time every night, and I have a low stress job. Testosterone levels can be helped by lifestyle factors but a big portion is unfortunately genetic.
