        Anonymous

Write down a recipe of your protein or bulking shake (provided you drink at least one every day) and write creatine on it. So you only have to not forget to look at the recipe every time, consider it as a memo note, maybe stick it on the fridge or wherever you will always for sure look before. And/or always put together the ingredients so at the moment of making the shake you'll always see your creatine there among the other stuff...
I have the same problem but mine is a little bit more complicated, because I have serious doubts of the purity/quality of my creatine, so that demotivates me from even remembering of adding it to the shake, or take it at all.

The purpose of multi-vitamins is essentially for people to meet the very bare daily minimum requirements to avoid collapsing into a coma.

The only way to make it worth the while is to pop several at once, like 4-6 depending on brand obviously, otherwise there's no point.
But even then... there's no point lol. Just buy dedicated vit D&K, B complex, magnesium, iron, all that shit.

        it's the exact opposite newbie.
multivitamins are suppose to be the bare minimum, if you try to maximize vitamins you'll piss almost all of it out in an hour or two.
taking the minimum is the best way to hit deficiencies while not overworking your body removing waste product because it can't utilize the micro.

the bare minimum doesn't do shit for the most relevant vitamins
          see: vitamin d3

I'm extremely strict about my diet and I still benefit from k2, d3, creatine, and boron. Between depleted soil, horrible farming practices, and lack of sunlight at certain latitudes, it's almost impossible to get the ideal amounts of all these nutrients from food. Also, you'd have to be on a raw meat diet to get enough creatine. You'd literallly have to eat at least 2 lbs of raw beef every day. Do you?

I also noticed benefits from supplementing boron and iodine while eating said local meat and organs. Depleted soil is a global problem. Also, as other anons have pointed out, the halides saturating our environment (like fluoride in the water) compete with iodine in the body, so supplementing iodine is a must for 99% of people.

              Anonymous

I'll try a bit more supplementation too to test it, I definitely am not sure how bad the soil depletion problem is or how much my local farms compost and add nutrients to the soil. I'd imagine they're a lot better than the bigger more industrial slopfarms. I can certainly taste the difference at least.
Also frick the fluoride in the water, I can't believe that shit was ever normalized.

For reference, the RDA is 225mcg if I recall correctly, so we're talking orders of magnitude difference.
I started off with 20mg one morning, 20mg that night, 20 mg the next morning, and by then I was experiencing Wolff-Chaikoff effect, where your body basically overreacts to a sudden large exposure of iodine by shutting off the thyroid temporary, until the Wolff-Chaikoff escape phenomena (i.e. it turns back on, a couple of days later). I started again the next day, bumping it up by 5mg per day and everything was fine.
So, moral of the story is, increase it slowly when you start.

To your actual question, now that thyroid is used to larger levels, I take anywhere from 10mg to 25mg when I remember to take it. On stretches of time where I remember to take it everyday, I do 10-15mg; the strength I use is a 15% solution which is basically 7.5mg per drop because that was the most cost effective for the higher dose I was originally doing, and I'm not too picky on getting exactly 2 or 3 drops so it's whatever.

Oh, also, fun fact about why people feel better when they take a vacation to the beach, iodine is iodized by the ocean air, so they're likely deficient and feeling better because they're literally breathing it in.

      Intredasting
When I started supplementing iodine (I added 2 drop of Lugol's 5% to water) I noticed that it tasted like the ocean. And it was almost addictive. It tasted and felt really good to drink my iodine water, so I must have been very deficient.

That's because the health benefits come from sun exposure and not from vitamin d. Vitamin d is pretty much bullshit apart from the osteoporosis part. All the correlations that have been found were just... correlations.

Also, high-doese borax should be temporary. The maintenance dose is 1 tsp of concentrate (not powder, see the borax conspiracy for how to make concentrate). Add that to a liter of water, and you won't be able to taste it.

For those not in the know, our contaminated water supply (chlorine, fluoride, etc.) Clogs your thyroid and stops it from absorbing enough iodine. Iodine is crucial to form every hormone. Lugol's solution 5% (2-4 drops) daily in your drinking water will give you exactly what you need (potassium iodide and elemental iodine). You won't find 5% easily, as it's regulated, but a small bottle goes a long way and jcrows produces it here for those who live in the USA (you have to buy it on their website)

You need comparatively mega doses. That's why Lugol's 5% has been the standard for over a century, it was a common cure before they gave it bad PR for denting pharma sales. You wouldn't want to drink the salty water from that kind of thinking, anyway, and it only contains half of the two types of iodine you need (the potassium iodide) (if any. There is a scandal where salt manufacturers oopsie poopsie and don't add iodine to cut costs.)

Someone at my gym said he takes L-carnitine and recommends it
    Anyone here agree?

      Anonymous

L-carnitine is well known to improve cardiovascular fitness and is so effective for endurance sports that higher doses are literally banned by WADA. If you don't already know about it, I suggest you read up on the Alberto Salazar protocol. The difference here is that you and I might take a sachet or syrup with 1g of L-carnitine, whereas Salazar was making his athletes take in massive amounts through an IV drip.

      >The protocol is as follows:
Baseline glucose (fingerstick), give 75grams of glucola, 10 miutes
[sic] later give 9.67 grams of L- Carnitine in 45 ml of .9% saline
over 1 hour. Give 75 grams of glucola every 20 minutes after the
original (1st glucola) for 1 hour. Check glucose (fingerstick) 20
minutes after infusions stopped. I also check carnitine levels pre
and post infusion, but that was for the benifit [sic] to show we
achieved high blood levels and I know we have actually already
      proven that.

The thing is that it is alleged Salazar was giving people 1000ml IVs of this shit. If at the same concentration we're talking roughly 200g of L-carnitine. Don't take my word for it since I haven't read up on this stuff exhaustively, but either way the doses are far in excess of what any normal person would be taking and presumably infusion would result in much higher concentrations of carnitine in the blood than consuming it orally.

Magnesium sulfate (bath salts or Epsom salt) works in tandem with your thyroid and parathyroid glands to help produce hormones. Basically the cheapest way you can get large amounts of magnesium into your body. I take at least 1 tablespoon a day of Epsom salt. Without enough magnesium, tyrosine, selenium, iodine (elemental (I2) and potassium iodine) and zinc (make sure to eat copper rich foods if you take zinc) your body won't be able to thyroid hormones, mobilize them, and activate them to synthesize hormones throughout your body, as well as create hormone receptors in your cells. Boron is required for parathyroid function. It's all import and essential for hormonal health, and it all should be gotten naturally if possible, yet nonregenerative agriculture has stripped the soil of these essential minerals and nutrients so it doesn't end up in our plants and meat. The addition of fluoride into the water, which is in the same family of elements as chloride and iodine, gets into our food and we drink it directly, taking the spot of where iodine should be in our thyroid and blocking our ability to absorb enough iodine. This is why the DRI of iodine, which was initially implemented to protect against goiters, is no longer sufficient, as your need around 20x more iodine to actually absorb enough to meet the necessary amount in a fluoridated world and the iodine they put in the salt is only potassium iodide which needs elemental iodine to mobilize (and about half of salt brands tested didn't even have potassium iodide actually even added to it)

Lugol's solution 5% is composed of 5% elemental iodine and 10% potassium iodide and 2-4 drops a day will get you to the amount you need. If I had to choose one thing to take instead of all of these, I'd choose Iodine, as it's the most critical nutrient for hormone synthesis, followed by tyrosine.

Yes, but don't go overboard. It's a laxative. Sip it over the course of a few hours and don't do more than a tablespoon per liter.

I suggest heating some water up and then mixing it with the epsom salt before mixing the rest in. It helps it dissolve faster.

Sorry, I'm moronic so bear with these questions please.

I got Lugil Iodine. It's 2% though, so 4% potassium iodine and 2% iodone. So i just add more drops and it's the same thimg right? I also got some selenium and magnesium, but do i need to supplement boron and the other stuff too? Should i also drink epsom salt with all that?

This iodine stuff makes a lot of sense, especially since I stupidly have been using iodine free kosher salt, whoch likely explains why I feel like shit when I cook healthy food, but oldly have way more energy when eating crap.

              Anonymous

You would need to take 5-10 drops, yes. You're not required to supplement with boron, but it helps tremendously. Epsom salt should be taken when you take boron, but if you're forgoing boron/borax, just take some epsom salt (not too much, it's a laxative) throughout the day as you would, normally. The fine folk at the earth clinic have made instructional guides on how to use borax as a boron source, since it's cheap, mined from the earth like other salts (no other stuff inside of it) and can be found at most large retail stores, typically in the laundry aisle as that's it's marketed use for the Borax brand. https://youtu.be/qXqlBVXUI98?si=9WB0m2I4-_nswB-U

      are you moronic?
cialis is literally a godsend to the cardiovascular system with only one exception.

Certain systems in the human body require inflammation to function.
      Examples of this are
      1. The back
In this case the back as a counterbalance requires inflammation in opposite to whichever movement you are doing.
      2. The eyes
The eyes must be able to constrict and dilate.
      3. The esophagus (upper/lower)
Must be able to inflame to prevent depressurization.
      4. The duodenum
      Same as esophagus
      5. The digestive system
Requires inflammation for muscle constriction in food processing when not actively moving.
      6. The lungs
Similarly have inflammation as a natural process to block off infection from setting into the deeper seated pockets.

If you notice cialis side effect list.
      >heart burn
      >eye problems
      >bile
      >lung infections
      >irritable bowel

Anything that requires pooling of blood and inflammation to regulate a homeostasis response is negated by cialis.

The heart is not negatively impacted by loss of inflammation and operates better.
Cialis taken early enough in heart disease might be able to reverse it entirely.

      I used Rocketrx.

I got 3 months supply of the 2.5mg dailies. I meant to get next day shipping and opened a ticket to see if there was a way for me to pay extra after my purchase - and they gave it to me for free.

They also let me note which kind of manufacturer I wanted; I found out my first batch came from a corporation based in India, and my second batch (which were like 1/4 the size and worked better) came from a place in the US called Nivigen.

I recommend testing 1/2 a dose to start. Buy a pill cutter.

I didn't know boron and selenium were so relevant to lifter's diet. Why/how do they help that much?

      Anonymous

Parathyroid glands regulate muscle functionality and boron is critical for this gland. Selenium is required by the thyroid to turn T4(The inactive form of thyroid hormone) to T3(the active form of thyroid hormone) which allows your body to use the thyroid hormone to stimulate things like androgen synthesis (testosterone being a major example). Without it, your body will literally not produce the necessary hormones your body needs.

Interesting, thanks for the spoon-feeding, anon. I always had understood those minerals were very rare to lack in diet (such as chromium, copper, huh... chloride?) , even if you don't eat variated foods.
Like if they had minor importance, I mean, whereas one normally worries about getting vitamin C, D, iron, zinc (I suspect many people don't know about the importance of zinc and all the benefits it has in the body. In fact I see people in general are very ignorant about needs of nutrients). A and B complex depending on your needs, i.e being an athlete... and so on.

Oh, and the why is that commercial agriculture combined with the dumping of the waste product of aluminum manufacturing in our water supply (fluoride) seriously strips our soil of these minerals and blocks our body's ability to absorb what little remains.

I don't know about that. I hope it's not a paranoid schizophrenic kind of conspiracy therory, because I already have read on /misc/ too many times before claiming the israelites or whoever deliberately poisons water with fluoride, or other chemicals. Some claimings assure it's to make males more feminine so they are more prone to become trans when they grow up...
Isn't fluoride the chemical that protects teeth? They would making me a favor, I literally brush and floss my teeth like once a week on average lol

          Anonymous

Before they discovered that fluoride had the side effect of binding to bones in place of calcium (or teeth in this case), making them harder, they were polluting freshwater rivers with fluoride from aluminum factories for years. The discovery was actually only possible because people kept showing up with brown-stained (too much fluoride) but strong teeth, which was considered healthier than your teeth being brittle from malnutrition. A happy accident and a marketing spin later and everyone thinks the fluoride in the water was put there after rigorous medical testing. If that's too schizo for you, that's fine.

L-arginine is superior than cialis. Does way more things and you can't take both of them at the same time.

lol l-arginine is literally 0 bioavailability garbage
your system makes you piss 99% of it out, and only absorb 1%
at least use l-citrulline which properly gets fully converted into absorbable arginine without getting destroyed by your digestive system
and even then, the dosage needed for l-citrulline to compete with cialis on vasodilation costs like 20x more

When boron pills say "3mg boron (Borax)" does that meant it's 3mg of boron itself or are they israeliteing and it's 3mg of the total compound

Many vitamins will list what the pill contains and what the body will absorb. For example my magnesium says like 500mg (90mg). There are like 10 different types of magnesium and they absorb differently. Boron is likely the same way.

It's 3mg boron sourced from borax.
