                Not the guy you are arguing with but you are mostly wrong. Its more about portions calories in and calories out than it is about the break down of protein/fat/carbs. This isnt even debatable. I've cut by eating chipotle every day for lunch from 22% bf down to 19% just by eating less overall for dinner and cutting out snacking. I could replace that with a chicken wing or two from KFC and if it was the same calories it wouldn't make a difference.

                Does it make it easier to eat healthy when you are already eating healthy? Yes, but calories in and calories out is the only thing that matters and hitting protein goals. The rest is fluff in comparison. Also post body because I can guarantee you look like a DYEL if you are living on rice noodles without hitting your protein goals.

                about a pound and a half of ground beef daily, couple of eggs, 50-100g of cheese, 120-170g of carbs from various fruit + honey
                sometimes the ground beef is a mix of beef organs, and other times I'll throw in an actual cut of beef like NY strip or flank. Some lamb or venison occasionally too. I get the beef in bulk orders from a local farm that doesn't corn rape their cattle.
                I did keto before and could barely lose weight doing 1800cal a day. Now I lose about a 1lb a week if I limit it to 2500cal and can maintain at almost 3000.

I know this will blow your mind, but you can remain in ketosis and eat as much as 50 to 100 grams of carbohydrates a day, and many people on ketogenic diets will have some small amount of fruits, pasta, and carb rich foods. only the most extreme ketogenic diets restrict carbohydrates entirely.

    4. they don't eat modern western goyslop nearly as much as wasterners do.

      sugar is a refined carbohydrate. there are mono- and di-saccharides, mono- effectively are pure glucose, while di- are glucose-fructose combinations. pretty much all carbohydrates are either mono- or di-saccharides, including starches, like those found in potatoes and rice. however, fiber is also considered a carbohydrate, but it's not digested by the body, so you don't absorb it. this explains why something like broccoli, which is mostly water and carbohydrate, isn't the same as rice; they have varying degrees of glucose to fiber ratios. on top of that, some carb rich foods like broccoli come along with more vitamins and minerals than others, which makes them a more advantageous addition to your diet than something like just rice.

      rice is like 29% glucose, with some small amount of protein and an even smaller amount of fat. you do get some trace minerals, but it's mostly phosphorus and potassium.
      potatoes have more fiber in than than carbs, and are a good source of vitamin C and a number of B vitamins.

    it doesnt matter what you eat as long as its in small controlled portions every 45-90 mins. this way your bodies insulin wont spike as opposed when eating big meals 3 times a day. just eat 6-12 times a day and the pounds will melt.
