I would do weightlifting if you haven’t started to build muscle or else your gonna end up skinny fat but I would do 12 calories x bodyweight or 12 x desired bodyweight

Yeah it gets kind of confusing i guess. But when you think about it its really simple. So if you want o lose fat and gains muscle then you have to be in a caloric deficit to lose fat but you also have to be in a surplus to gain muscle. So on the days you train you are in a surplus about 500calories, and on the days you rest you eat at 500calorie deficit or you fast and eat nothing.

>bulk then cut
if you were a male I’d recommend this 100% (if you aren’t too fat already) gain some muscle so your fat is more shapely and then you have a bigger energy expenditure for your first cut (cutting first as a skinnyfat can be quite hard)
but since you’re a female it probably should be

but depends on you and how you feel about gaining some more weight/maybe fat in the short term

If you eat at a deficit but with ample protein you can lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. 1600 cals and 90+g of protein, start doing some strength based exercises and start walking a couple extra miles a day, do that for like three months and you'll see results.
