No motivation. What do?

I have zero motivation to exercise but I want to lose my stomach fat. I'm 6 ft 205lbs and in okay shape. I've been fighting and working physical jobs most of my life up until recently and I can feel myself getting bigger because I'm sedentary most of my days now.

I had previously went from 230lbs to 175lbs, so I know what to do, but honestly I'm too fricking lazy right now and I don't know why. I have a fit girlfriend that doesn't seem to care about my gut, but it pains me to look at my side profile in the mirror and then I continue to do nothing about it but try to eat a little better. I have zero desire to do anything physical except frick.

I'm not depressed and I'm genuinely happy with life right now. Wtf is wrong with my mindset right now fit?

I used to and would like to again but I'm working second shift right now. Definitely a big part of why I don't exercise anymore because I used to do it for BJJ

    You're too content and comfortable.
I don't blame you for not working out when life is so good.
I life because it's one of the few things in my life right now that I feel totally in control of.
    You lack neurosis like mine.
Find something to make your own deep seeded issue/demon, and your motivation will return to work out.

I feel like my whole life I've been trying to eliminate neurosis. Well.. I did it, and now I don't give a shit about pretty much everything. Thanks for your words, I'll see if I can muster up a demon

What does this shit have to do with discipline? I have insane discipline and don't do this autistic bullshit. Either you have discipline or you don't. It's different triggers for different people. Eat 7 dicks

Gotta be honest, this didn't do much for me. This was my mindset when I was around that age too. I still consider myself to be better than the majority of said pathetic people. I think I just need some good ol fashion fat shaming

      >all these reasons to be motivated
      >channel it into being just another gym rat
being fit is good but if you're gonna be inspired by people who do mindblowing things maybe you can think of something a bit more mindblowing than moving some weights around.

    The five pillars of motivation:

    1) Diet
    2) Exercise
    3) Sleep
    4) Semen Retention
    5) Virtue

If your motivation flags, one of these pillars is weak.

For diet, only eat the carbs you use, prioritize high nutrition foods. Consider regular fasting or intermittent fasting.

For exercise, get at least 15-30 minutes a day.

For sleep, turn of all devices by 8 PM and get in bed by 10 PM.

For semen retention, don't ejaculate unless you intend to impregnate a woman.

    For Virtue, see below.

The 8 Virtues are paired, one leading into another:

    1) Patience & Consistency
    2) Honesty and Humility
    3) Focus & Awareness
    4) Courage & Grit

Patience is the ability to plan. Consistency is the ability to carry out the plan day after day.

Honesty is the ability to admit the truth. Humility is the ability to be truthful about yourself.

Focus is the ability to move moment by moment through time, in concentration. Awareness is the ability to focus on your own thoughts and emotions.

Courage is the ability to start something you don't want to. Grit is the ability to finish it.

To cultivate these Virtues, you need to have a regular meditation practice.

All problems with motivation come back to the 4 Pillars - Diet, Exercise, Sleep, Semen Retention - and deficiencies in the 8 Virtues.

If you don't do these things - build the 4 pillars or practice the 8 virtues - you have no right to complain about a lack of motivation.

Yeah semen retention is not gonna happen, but I suppose I could really work on consistency, courage, and more meditation. Thanks for laying out the foundation
