if you make the orange juice yourself from responsibly sourced fruits (local pesticide free)
then yes drink as much as you want

    i suggest distilled water only
beef, eggs, and frozen organic vegetablesfruits

Don't drink coke (teeth will thank you) or add sugar to milk. Don't fall for the ice cream thing either.

I eat a 1/4 cup of ice cream before bed almost every night and it does wonders for sleep and satiety. If you're not trying to get sub 10% bf, there's no harm in high quality ice cream

Anyone can go to RPF and see thread after thread of people getting chubby and having dental problems because they thought peating meant sugared milk, coke, and ice cream ad libitum. I peat too, just warning people away from some fairly common mistakes.

yes there are plenty of anecdotes from morons. and shocker, morons can frick up good protocols. if you've got sense you'll maintain weight while drastically raising bmr on a peaty diet

            >maintain weight
            It depends.
I was a naturally built / chubby kid.
Before Peat I was suppressing appetite with fasting, black coffee and low carb and I was 83kg at 178cm, feeling constantly like shit.
After Peat I got all the way up to 100kg, which I've effortlessly been maintaining for over a year now, feeling much more healthier.
I'm probably around 25% bodyfat but because I have some upper body mass I don't look like a potato.
Imo some people are just meant to be at higher body fat (within reason, not 40%) in order to feel healthy and the best thing they can do is accept it. Or just sniff cocaine, it's Peat approved after all.

              Anonymous

Granted you're healthier now than before, which I don't doubt at all, but why do you think you can't feel this healthier or better at 15%? Does your current diet include eat ice cream, soda, and/or sugared milk?

                Anonymous

                Just sugared milk.
After a lot of experimentation I found out I cannot digest milk without sugar and coffee, it is what is (delicious).
                >why not 15%
When I was 83kg I was around that bodyfat but I was a NEET with no stress outside of training, family paid for my shit and I didn't have any goals in life.
Right now life is much busier since I make my own money, while learning a skill and I'm still training. Soon I'll start looking for a gf again.
I'm not saying my situation is unique or that there are no people with a ton more stress than me in their lives, but relatively my stress has increased (which is a good thing because I also get rewarded through my efforts).
When stress increases the dopamine must also increase. Most people will start smoking or drinking otherwise they'll be buttholes that are constantly on edge, I don't like those options so I choose sugar.

And I'm not saying you have to lose weight, I just really don't think it's set in stone that 25% or your body needs to be fat for you to be healthy and feel positive.

When the time comes for me to change my job and my stress levels lower (right now I work outdoors so I deal with the weather's BS year round), I suspect that I'll probably lose some weight.
It might sound like I'm coping right now, but that's just my natural appetite at the moment and I find it changes based on my stress levels each period.

nice. glad to hear that. i personally haven't gained too much weight on rpd, but i have experienced an almost identical effect when i was in europe for an extended period - gained about 15lbs and felt fantastic, eating completely unrestricted. assumption is just because the food was cleaner my body let loose finally

Literally all 3 of those make you feel like shit on their own eventually, are stressful to the body and mind and shoot cortisol through the roof. That's why you felt like shit.

i do add sugar to milk since i'm poor and cant afford as much fruit. i did drop the the soda though. adding so much sugar to my diet made me more self-aware of potential tooth decay and forced me to brush 3 times a day now, rather than just am and pm

Instead of thinking about those as notable features of the diet (they aren't), think about gelatinous foods, sources of vitamins k and d, and not just improving the ratio of sfa to pufa but reducing total dietary fat, etc.

When you think about it, it's just common sense. Anatomically modern humans have been around for hundreds of thousands of years. Agriculture has existed for about 10,000. What did humans eat before that? Meat, fruit, honey.

    >drink mexican coke
Peat said that nutritionally the HFCS in Western cokes and the cane sugar in Mexican cokes are probably the same.
But he likes the taste of the Mexican cokes much more.
It’s his moronic but loveable followers that have interpreted his words as something other than a taste preference

I very much doubt he said that. A returning talking point of his is how HFCS is a bowel irritant while cane sugare isn't.

He's regularly said that there's nothing wrong with sucrose and I've seen quotes from him recommending something like as much as 1,000 calories a day from sucrose being fine from a metabolic standpoint but certainly never anything in favor of heavily processed sugars like HFCS.

This email exchange in 2013 is what I based my initial statement on.
I guess he must have revised his position since then.

        >Q:Someone told me you drink HFCS coke regularly? do you think it is not
that harmful if someone is healthy?
        >A:I prefer Mexican coke with real sugar (it tastes very different), but metabolically there isn't much difference.

T3, T4, aspirin, progesterone, vitamin d and k, and even antibiotics if you’re having digestion issues. I never see anyone bring this up and you all wonder why you’re not getting any benefits from eating Ice cream and steak (he also recommends against mainly eating muscle meat)

        >unthinking moron
I heavily doubt you got your understanding of human metabolism from thinking really hard.
If anything, you'd avoid fructose (and therefore sucrose too) if you really knew your stuff.
Yes, fructose will NOT impact your insulin levels directly, nor will it cause diabetes directly. Not like "insulin resistance" is a metabolic fact either, it's merely a concept.
Hell, you might not even get fat if you've got the right genes. But if you think you're not due for chronic inflammation, metabolic syndrome and eventually diabetes, you're fooling yourself. Unless you're very, very careful about your fatty acids intakes, in which case glycation is still something for you to worry about.
