Graph not specific to young people is it?
Its related to lifetime risk of developments and the authors state that this increase is in part due to faster and more widespread diagnosis.....
It also indicates that the trend is slowing (and thus might plateau)

            Article its from: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamadermatology/article-abstract/2593033

According to the original statistic, invasive melanoma began to rise exponentially in 1980, rising from 0.4% risk to nearly 2.0% risk in 2020.
The life expectancy rose by only 7 years from 1980 to 2020. The rise in life expectancy, which had been gradual, cannot be correlated with the rise in invasive melanoma, which had been exponential. That's why I did not need to provide another "axis" (you meant label btw) because the point is the rise in life expectancy is too gradual and normal to be compared to the rise in skin cancer. You could easily find a source for U.S. life expectancy online yourself but instead you just made a baseless claim about skin cancer being correlated to life expectancy when there is very minimal correlation.
The reason you're so mad, calling me a moronic fricking moron, is because you know your wrong btw. You made a baseless claim without Googling anything.

Actually it's not necessarily linear. What i mean is maybe at the last years of life chance of cancer increases exponentially

                Anonymous

That doesn't account for how much skin cancer has increased while how little life expectancy has increased. If your theory is correct skin cancer would have been a problem start around the 1960's, which it clearly wasn't. I don't think you know what you're talking about.
While older people do have a higher risk of developing skin cancer, skin cancer diagnosis increased overall starting in the 90s: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10450971
Can you just get it out of your head that "skin cancer increased because people are aging more"? Because that isn't correct. There is clearly another factor and it's just pissing me off that you think age is the important one

it does as i already said it's not necessarily linear, we cannot assume it is.

yes because during 2020 they didnt have resource to diagnose all the skin cancers so there was a huge backlog once the psychosis finally started wearing off so then once all the resources werent funneled to just covid cases the number on skin cancer (and every other diagnosis) exploded.

skin cancer is only prevalent these days because of iodine deficiency being widespread. boomers and grand boomers never had sunscreen but also had high iodine levels due to it being in everything bcuz iodized salt. no skin cancer til aluminum sunscreen. nips no cancer issues post fakenukes bcuz kelp iodine lvls. ffwd to today and iodine deficiency is everywhere bcuz israelites removed it from everything to fk up goy thyroids and thus hormones and thus b***h breasts/troony mental illness is everywhere. couple drops of iodine a day keeps every cancer away. but also avoid direct uv exposure during peak hours. even mother nature rotates leaves and idles animals around noon

I think it's simply that people covered themselves when they went out. People didn't wear shorts as much. And, they were thinner back then. Being thin lowers your body temperature and makes you sweat less so you won't be as hot when you go out in the sun in July and you can afford to wear long sleeved clothing without sweating.

    >The observed site distribution of reported melanomas, both of stage 1 lesions, the predominant cause of the increase, as well as potentially fatal lesions, was mostly on the back, trunk and limbs, and not on the face and neck, which are the main sites of tumours known to be induced by UV.
