i've recently seen more than a few mentions of taping your mouth shut to sleep. i didn't know i snore loud when i sleep until getting a gf years ago, and didn't think much of it. so last week i tried giving mouth taping a try and it's actually showing benefits
>not waking up in the middle of the night as much
>solid 8 hours of sleep every night
>memory/focus seems better
>lower heart rate while sleeping
i feel like it's pulling me out of a malaise where i wasn't sure why i was feeling "off" most days, despite being a healthy weight, healthy diet and getting plenty of exercise.
anyone else have experience/tips in trying to be less of a mouth breather?
I snore if I lay on my back, I might invest in some surgical tape and a nose strip.
i used to get sleep paralysis sleeping on my back. i wonder if i'd still get it if i didn't breathe through my mouth.
same, it makes me feel great. you can always keep the tape on when you're just sitting around browsing IST or whatever during the day too, it'll train you to keep it up while you're awake.
Anybody else get instantly congested after brief exercise? I physically cannot breathe through my nose during light cardio
It's a little phlegmatic, but I think maybe the lining of my nose is swelling?
It's been a problem all my life and doctors are useless (can't see an ENT in this shithole until a GP recognises there's a problem, GPs just say "I can't see anything" or "have you tried breathing with your mouth?")
Tape mouth shut. Apply breath right strip. Meditate on keeping your mouth closed and tongue positioned properly as you drift off. Sleep on your left side.
Consider taking a supplement that has
>lemon balms
>passion flower
>hops
>valerian
>theanine
Yup. Also less sinus issues. I'm guessing there is just less mucus or potential for infection because air keeps getting filtered through the nose instead of the mouth. Having air move through the nose is how it is designed. Again, guessing that movement helps the mucus thin out rather than collect, and whatever bacteria gets moved into the lungs to be properly filtered as well.
Again, I could be way off, but it's just me spitballin'
I would try this except I have severe hay fever and my sinuses get blocked up in the middle of the night often when I sleep. I fucking hate alergies bros
I started taping my mouth while sleeping, of course not 100% because I don't want to die while sleeping, been doing it for 2 weeks and noticed I don't wake up with sore throat or with dry mouth anymore so I guess it is working.
>use surgical tape. oxygen can pass through
>don't cover your whole mouth, just the middle vertically
>cut a slit in the middle if you're really worried.
the idea isn't to cut off air to your mouth 100%, but to limit it and force your lips to be mostly closed instead of gaping open unconsciously.
meant for
What if I do the opposite and prop my mouth open?
>What if..
The goblins come in you mouth at night
does it feel good to stick your dick into someone's mouth through this? I feel like the lips are a major part of making a blowjob feel good, so this would be weird, no?
I bought one of these for my gf and her jaw could barely get around it and my pp didn't even fit in it
another benefit has been no drooling. i was worried the tape would come undone because i generally drool a decent amount when i side-sleep and mouth breathe.
but every morning so far the tape has stayed dry and no drool piles on my pillow.
I think I have some sort of food allergy making me congested I fasted for a few days and it went away. What would be a likely candidate?
milk maybe. I've become congested from mcdonalds before weirdly enough, so maybe some additive they put in that.
Anyone else ever eat the tape in the night? It's happened a few times where I wake up with teh tape completely gone. and a saw feeling in my throat. thankfully using more tape and just getting used to it seems to have fixed this issue.
the spiders ate it
Any tips on how to apply that if I have a thick mustache?
hitler stache and tape it from the sides. boom
shit, now I have to jerk off to OP's pic
IST is full of toxic shitheads but it's for some fucked up reason what I need when I'm surrounded by everyone telling me I should be fine and alright.
I come here to get motivated, get angry, kick my own ass and even occasionally learn about shit I wouldn't even bother to look at.
It's a huge distraction and eventually I need to leave, but when I'm here I get super focused on fitness, working out, eating right and improving myself.
I'm clearly fucked in the head, but so are you guys. You guys are like the shitty older brother that most of the time wants to beat me up but a lot of the times want me to stop being a pathetic pissant and live up to my potential.
So thanks assholes.
>toxic
>pissant
Eugh, just go
