    dips is awesome.
    as a beginner, it's been gratifying having started with assisted dips -60 lbs,
    Then -40, then -20,
    Now I can do 3 sets of 6 bodyweight dips (180 lbs)
    Eventually I'll have to buy the weighted jockstrap for dips which will be incredible

      Dont go past 90 degrees on the elbow bend or you open yourself to scapula/shoulder damage. Love dipping deeeep but stopping at 90 has stopped that for me

    i'd believe that dips are the best upper body compound that exists. more muscles involved than bench or pushups due to greater range of motion and moving body quite a ways through space
    just not sure it makes sense because progression can't be measured well. your weight fluctuates daily, your range of motion won't be exact everytime, just a ton of shit that's too hard to control for

      Wrong, double kettlebell cleans are the best. do them for ten minutes starting with just 12kg each if you don't do cleans with barbell.
