Oatmeal

Any pro tips for making the healthiest/tastiest oatmeal? I've only made it once and a lot of the residue was sticking to the bottom of the saucepan. Does butter/oil prevent this?

Make old fashioned oats with whole milk on the stove. That's the recipe for the best taste. Seems like you're burning the milk to simmer it at lower heat and stir it more often.

Make sure the water is boiling before putting in the oats. (you only need enough water to cover the oats, if you put too much it'll be goopy). Lower the heat to medium. Put oats in for about 5 min, stirring occasionally. Scoop cooked oatmeal into another bowl. I like to put frozen berries in because it dethaws from the heat of the oats. Then i drizzle some honey and put some cinnamon powder.

    1. Put oats in a container, pour in water or milk (just enough that it’s very, very slightly above the level of oats).
    2. Leave for a while to let the water/milk soak into the oats. Paranoid homosexuals and women always say you have to leave it overnight, but honestly you really only need like 30 minutes to an hour. Nothing wrong with leaving it long, but it’s not required, longer just improves the soaking in slightly/makes the oats even softer. They can only soak up so much water/milk though, and once they reach that point, leaving them longer won’t do any harm, but it won’t do any good either.
    3. Microwave the oats. Then mix with whatever you want. Peanut butter is good and is the only thing I use.
    4. Clean the bowl you used easy peasy. No need to cook on stove, that’s also just something that paranoid homosexuals and women do.

Is microwaving necessary? I've always ate it straight out of the fridge, I like it cold. Also, I add milk, whey, peanut butter, and maple syrup into my blender cup, blend it all together, and let the oats soak in that instead of adding peanut butter at the end. Tastes like dessert

No it's not necessary, I can't be fricked cooking them either. Oats, milk, protein powder, Greek yoghurt, cinnamon, maybe a little dried fruit and nuts, consume. Delicious.
Now I sit back and wait for someone to reply and tell me I shouldn't do it this way because of some meme chemical that's generated which will ruin my gainz or give me cancer of the anus or something

No, eat it cold if you want. Hot, cold, who the frick cares, it’s a grain you eat it however you want. Do you really need this much fricking hand holding?
        >syrup
Jesus cmon you fat piece of shit, are you trying to be healthy or just pretending to try to be healthy?

Overnight oats produce tons of phytoestrogen.

I'm actually a lanklet hard gainer, a tbs of syrup won't do anything to me except make my food more enjoyable. Never said anything about being healthy either, I don't think oats are that great for your health, it's a peasant food

I usually take a big cup of oats, add chia seeds, honey, and whatever fruit I have in the fridge, fill the rest with milk, and leave it in the fridge for the night to scarf it down in the shower the next morning.

You homosexuals scream this about absolutely everything. I've heard that everything from milk to bread to eggs to oats to all fruits and all vegetables as being secretly loaded full of estrogen. I don't believe any of you anymore.
What the frick kind of mechanism could cause oats to suddenly produce estrogen just by leaving them in milk longer than usual?

I put a cup of oats in a bowl, crack 5 eggs into it all and add a smidge of water, stir the shit out of it, and microwave it for 2 minutes. And drench it in hot sauce. I call it eggy oats

    1. Old fashioned oats + about half the water you would normally use.
    2. Microwave for 2-3 minutes on high
    3. Add milk to desired consistency. Also helps cool down oatmeal.
    4. Add vanilla protein powder, cinnamon, and banana. Sometimes I also mix in frozen berries. The heat of the oatmeal should be enough to defrost them, but depending on how many you add you may need to put it back in the microwave a bit longer.

Shit man, I'm an oatmeal expert, I ate oats nightly for years. My go to is a 2:1 ratio of quick oats and dark brown sugar, but you can substitute healthier/lower quantity sweeteners like maple syrup or agave, but stay away from white sugar or god forbid 0 calorie sweeteners. Other great additives include: walnuts, pecans, pistachios, any and all fruit (add last so it doesn't get hot), dried fruit (add while boiling), cinnamon, cloves, all spice, nutmeg, ginger, and a little salt can be nice too.

Your problem comes from aiming for a "drier" oatmeal with most of the water/milk boiled off, which is excellent. Just before the pot runs out of liquid, turn the heat to low. Stir constantly with a rubber spatula, scraping the bottom, and you can get that water content just where you like without anything sticking. A good ceramic coated pot will help too.

    1/2 teaspoon of suger
And a teaspoon of homemade strawberry jam on top.
Not the healthiest ill admit, but i love it.

I live in germany. The low quality cow quality is quite cheap here, but since the quality and the feeding of cows and chicken are need to be on point for optimal results on your body when you consume those products, you can imagine that this quality has its price.

Sure! Open th box or cardboard cylinder of oats. Give them a good smell. Then pour them into the fricking garbage. What are you, a horse? A peasant? Oats are for people who work in the fields all day.

If you work out 1 hour a day, you don't need any oats.
