        in general it's about 100 kcals/mile. There are factors that affect this but not greatly. Are you saying you run 10 miles in a half hour? which would be nearly 15 minutes below the world record.

            you're already evoking science by talking about calories at all. You could maybe make an argument that doing 30 minutes of HIIT sprints would burn that much but you never alluded to that. More than likely you falling into the same trap everyone does in vastly over estimating the calories you're burning during exercise.

            Like you said, 1k an hour is reasonable for running, 1k in 30 minutes of "moderate running" is fantasy unless you're like 400lbs
