OHP always fixes my shoulder pain. I feel great doing them. Sleep on my shoulder and have pain all day? Do an OHP workout. Slouched over desk doing work? OHP.
Guess I'm just built different :^)

Exactly same here, I also can't bench but with OHP I have no problem. Do you happen to have long arms? I do, and I wonder if long arms aren't optimal for horizontal pushing.

I’ve been doing OHP for years and have hit 1 plate and beyond for reps. My rotator cuffs feel great. I’m in my late thirties. I also do upright row 2x a week. When am I gonna get the dreaded rotator cuff injury?

Any advice on how to get to one pl8. I am kind of stuck at 30kg

not that guy but eat more

incorporate some push press variations where you're chucking it up and then do slow releases back down

engage your back and core and lean forward into the lift slightly

incorporate lat raises and high rep sets with just the bar

        good luck

Just have strong rotator cuffs. Ever heard of a little external rotation?

I separated both my shoulders in separate incidents and I love doing overhead press.
Maybe you're just moronic and need to work on your form.

I'm not some muh "The Press" reddit fedora Rippettoe cultist, I've built up to 105 x5 since 2012 and let me tell you
THERE IS LITERALLY NO BETTER FEELING IN THE GYM than placing somebody's max squat and then strict ohping it for sets of 5
Not even pulling 260 gets the looks as 2pl8 on the ohp does, it's pure fricking ego fuel

105kg is only my peaked 1rm but I feel you

normies shit bricks when I go from 70-80-90
