Just because your tax dollars pay for the community rec room doesn’t mean you have a gym membership

Kind of bullshit data because there are plenty of people who have memberships but never actually go to the gym.
A better survey would be the % of the population who goes to the gym at least 3 times a week.

That is literally how most gyms make money. From morons paying for it but only going once or twice a month.

US is the one of fattest countries yet has tenfold greater amount of gymgoers than Japan, the thinnest developed country on Earth. What gives?

Americans drive everywhere, have corn syrup food, body positivity and bulk buying whereas the Japanese walk/stand to commute, have limited but refined cuisine, no bulk buying discounts, and categorize fat people as illegal fire hazards.

        >categorize fat people as illegal fire hazards
        lol Sometimes Japan is based.

In addition to this [...] the most popular gym in America is Planet Fitness. Furthermore the gym is far from the only way to get in shape. Lots of Euros are part of sports clubs.

        >ots of Euros are part of sports clubs.
Or, you know, just walk more.

It's actually surprising how little people lift. I know that because we exist within this fit-o-sphere we think every Dick and Bill is massive and ripped, but in reality there's still so few people who lift or are even in good shape.

yeah there is no way in hell those numbers are real. Even if you only consider men from 18-30 it's not going to be 20%. 20% of the entire population would mean that every single young male has a gym membership.
    >3% of Chinese pop
that would be like 40 million gym memberships meaning they would need ~400'000 gyms. come the frick on

It doesn't mean that at all. A significant amount of foids and boomers go to the gym.

you know that's bullshit. when more than 50% of americans are obese or overweight and you substract all the children and geezers that are hooked up to O2 in nursing homes how in the world dou you still get to 20% of total population? Only 60% of total US population is even of working age.

The more egalitarian and cucked a society is sex-wise, the more gym memberships will be sold.

If your society automatically places all men above women, there's little incentive for a man to work out, as he's already superior to men as a result of his status, even if he's a 300 lb lard ass.

Basically everything on the list above 15% is mega cucked "stronk women" territory.

Everything 5% or below values men as men and allows you to beat insolent women or stone them to death, so you don't really need to get jacked.

Around 7-12% you have "macho" cultures where men are typically more aggressive but not necessarily hierarchically superior to women.
