OHP bad for low back?

Is the OHP bad for your low back? It's making my low back arch a lot. Can I avoid that or is that just the nature of the lift?

Do it seated, your are only using your legs and lower back on a SHOULDER lift to help your ego

Brace your core and once the bar clears your chin you should be moving under it

It's a nuanced movement. When you lean back, you should be leaning back at the hips, not the lower back. There will be a stretch at the hip flexors (top front of your thigh).

You’re suppose to bring your head forward during the lift.

You know I thought going to the gym would mean I got to see this, and I was correct. However, I saw one and then another, and another and soon there were several women like this circling around performing the most meaningless exercises, of which they could do at home. It became burdensome. The way they B line through your path of sight. The way they saunter past with the most lust evoking walk.. What was once desirable eventually grew to be revolting. At this point, I do my best to pretend they don't even exist. But this is a real task. They aren't there to get in shape, get stronger, get better.. They are there to distract you. They are there draw your focus. They are there to ruin your gains.

    Squeeze your glutes and quads.
Sure seated ohp or smith machine OHP is fine too.
standing OHP is more useful in day to day work.

Progressing with seated ohp is literally impossible

      Have you tried
      >different rep schemes
      >different hand placement
      >different frequency
      >more shoulder work
      >more tricep work
      >standing ohp
      >db ohp
      >smith ohp
      etc...
It's only impossible if you decide it is.

    >train abs
    >lower weight
    >actively brace your core while ohp’ing
    >flex glutes
    >don’t egolift, if you can’t lift while bracing your core you can’t lift the weight, don’t lean back to compensate

I know OHP gains are slow as shit and you might be tempted to break your form for a few extra kgs, but it’s not worth it.

Just do them seated and keep your back up against the bench.

You should be only leaning back enough to prevent the bar from hitting your face most of which can be done with just the neck
    Wear a belt
    Brace glutes
    Get a stronger core
Use less weight for more reps
    Most importantly get stronger shoulders
If your back hurts its because you're cheating with your chest

You need to lean back to get the bar in front of your face. I have been doing it for years, it doesn't cause problems.

Activate your glutes to keep your lumbar neutral
If you want to lean back, break at the knees a bit, don't arch your back
