>he isn't intellectualmaxxing with coffee and cigarettes
not a bad idea kek, thats usually my routine if desperate come exam time
never heard that before, maybe ill take the carbpill
Bump for interest. I saw someone say here that keto causes your brain to slow down. Is it like being lobotomised? Can they do the same mental work?
it's easier fasting should improve your cognition idk what your problem is
try smoking or some other stimulants
you find it easier to study while fasted? thats crazy. maybe i need to adapt?
any particular carb i assume low gi clean carbs for study gains
I do just fine one 16 hour fasts daily.
I do a 3 day fast once a month. The first day is fine because my studying is basically done by the 18 hour mark. The second day I usually get into a hyper zone and can do around 30% greater output. The third day is usually ASS and I drag myself through- but making sure I get enough sodium/potassium really helps.
wow thats interesting, can you describe your health briefly? are you low body fat and well adapted to fasting? do you have insulin resistance at all?
Count macros. Eat more carbs. Low carb is a meme.
the brain prefers to run on ketones rtard
Ketosis has been shown time and time again to make your brain functionality increase long term. You make more mitochondria and make them more efficient as well resulting in more brain power than carb consumers.
how can that be the case when keto is good for seizures because it lowers the brains electrical activity?
I'm calling BS on this whole thread. Every college kid falls behind on their coursework and then spends hours looking for explanations as to why their work is undone instead of just doing the work.
>t. graduate degree holder who used to do this.
im usually very on the ball with studies but want to lose fat and struggling with maintaining cognitive performance. hoping ill adapt and return to normal possibly better operating on ketones which anon suggests
based as fuck.
People do this shit with diets and working out too- they're fat because they eat too much, not because they haven't discovered secrets, they're scrawny because they eat shit and they lift inconsistently, with shitty volume when they do
Just eat your meal before you go to the library dumbass
i try and fast all day and eat just before bed
It doesn’t seem like it’s working for you so maybe you should stop doing it
im leaning into that frankly. just wondering if it will improve in the future as i adapt or not
Nah. Food = energy.
I've had this issue, you aren't having enough salts.
i thought that too but i get adequate sodium, potassium, magnesium
how are you having them? spread out throughout the day or all at once? A problem i used to have was having way too much water at a time to dilute the saltiness, i'd end up just pissing it all out.
I havent had any issues working/studying while fasting
im currently on a 4 day fast aiming for 7 and I actually miss classes and work because they keep me busy instead of being here on the computer and daydreaming about food
how well adapated are you to fasting? did it take some time to adjust and for mental performance to improve ?
slowly drink throughout the day lol i also i thought i was drinking too much and pissing out the electrolytes. especially because of keto dumping water too
lol. go high carb low fat. carb the fuck up. there is a reason they are called ketoschizos because their brains go haywire on their retarded diet.
Worst post in thread.
1. try high carb low fat
2. large quantities of caffeine
