The olive oil still has a positive number of calories. It just causes consequences in the body that then burn a larger number of calories. If you eat a 500 cal sandwich and then run off 600 calories, the sandwich did not have -100 calories, it still had 500.

          I caveat this by saying that;
As the only way to meaningfully modify how many kcal you absorb is by increasing/decreasing intake and eating better foods, I hope that can provide some common ground for all of us.

You buy a cheap car for 5000, you then sell it for 6000 to a different dealer. You do this every time. So you earn 1000 by buying a cheap car

                Anonymous

And? My point, using your example, would be that the dealer still paid you 6000, not 1000. Net and gross are different; profit and revenue are different; calories in an individual food and calorie balance over a whole day or digestive process are different.

                Anonymous

actually in accounting we would count the thermogenesis from olive oil as a contra revenue, since it’s directly associated with an activity that increases revenue
                >olive oil +100kcal
                > contra calories -200kcal
                >net olive oil calories -100kcal

Mammalian estrogen is orally bioavailable. When taken orally, estrogen is absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract and enters the bloodstream, where it exerts its effects on various tissues and organs in the body. Oral estrogen medications are commonly prescribed for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in menopausal women and for other medical conditions where estrogen supplementation is necessary.

i used to drink 2L per day of cows milk, and I tried an experiment where I swapped it for 1 litre of fortified onions milk (plus oats to make up for the missing calories).
After about a week I noticed my slightly puffy nipples went away. Also, the skin on my face and body looks tighter and smoother.
Like I have these 2 veins on my side lower abs/hip area that I monitor to see if I'm getting too fat and need to cut. When these veins disappear it tells me I need to start thinking about lowering calories for a while until they come back.
Anyway, these veins recently started to disappear due to my bulk, but less than a week after swapping the milk for onions milk, I can see the veins again. it's like when I was drinking all that milk the milk estrogen was causing me to hold estrogenic water bloat in my skin.
Also, the onions estrogens are weak and act like estrogen receptor blockers, like a SERM nolvadex. I guess that's why women who eat the most onions have the lowest breast cancer incidence.
I don't think I'll be going back to pregnant cow estrogenic milk again. No wonder all those GOMAD poster boys turn into fat man-titted estogenic water bloated pigs.

Obviously this is bullshit, but with oil it’s extra nonsensical. Oil has a frick ton of calories that couldn’t possibly overpower the second order effects.
If we were talking about how eating lots of broccoli could make you lose weight I would buy it, but one tablespoon of olive oil is like 100 calories already. That shit ain’t making you lose weight lol.
