OMAD indian buffet

for the last 3 days i have done OMAD where i only eat indian buffet for lunch and that is my only meal for the day. i generally get 3 or 4 plates of various indian food and with that i don't need to eat for at least 24hrs. the buffet only costs $13.99 too so it's a bargain for 1 day of food.

is this the secret redpill to help me lose weight and get strong? i'm not very overweight but i am extremely skinnyfat with very low muscle tone. i figured getting the fat off first is the best step.

pic sort of related, not me, but similar body type from the /soc/ thread

maybe technically or by body fat % but not super obese or anything. him and i look thinner than most people i see in public/at the beach.

      >3 or 4 plates of various indian food a day
How often do you find yourself running for the curb?

i think the spices are constipating me, i haven't really gone much the past 3 days, but it might be because i'm only eating once a day now.

I like Indian food, but stop that shit anon. Even at the best of time Indian food is
    >disproportionately carbs
    >full of oils, even if it's the healthy non-sneed kinds, it's in excess of what you need and is just turned into fat
    >Calorie dense cos ^ & ^^. It's just going to make you fat unless you're eating the very best BB optimised Indian food which you're not getting for $13.99.

    TDLR: you're a fricking tard.

it keeps me full though and isn't it calories in -> calories out? if i'm eating only a few plates of indian buffet per day vs my other food habits i think it's less overall but i have no idea how to calculate this stuff.

      >$13.99 too so it's a bargain for 1 day of food.

      how young are you, op?

You can get 10 lbs of chicken quarters for 5 to 7 dollars right now. You can also get a sack of rice, and some dried beans pretty cheap too. Maybe watch some youtube videos and see if you cant cook this stuff yourself. You're eating almost $400 of food a month, and that is only covering 1 meal.

      i am 31 years old

i generally would get breakfast at dunkin on the way to work, order out a sandwich or something at work, and then either eat like a box of rice with chicken and frozen vegetables if i'm feeling up to cooking, or just get takeout from somewhere...generally pizza, calzone, chinese, etc.

so $13.99 per day is actually a bit cheaper since it cuts out my lunch and dinner expenses.

Nearly your entire diet is processed carbs
You are not going to lose weight, you will struggle to build strength, and you will be hungry and miserable 12-hours of the day. You will despair when you do lose a few pounds but realize that it was just water-weight.
Eat some fatty meat like bratwurst with some eggs for breakfast, pack a sandwich and take it to work, then eat chicken and veggies or similar for dinner.

Depends on what you get. If you just eat the curries and veggies with no rice and very little naan then it's pretty healthy. Sure high in fat but fat being bad for you is a meme anyway.

Omad lmao you will have a mega slow metabolic rate, same as fasting. It means you burn less at a slower rate...you will never look good like that, will always be soft fat and watery lmao.

kek, used to eat Indian buffet a few times per week while I was vegetarian and lifting heavy, ended up gaining 30 lbs. over 2 years from it.
Let's just say that when you eat a dozen pakoras to start, move on to 2-3 plates loaded with rice, creamed spinach and chickpeas, then wrap up with about 8 gulab jamun to finish, you'll get nothing but fatter.
Literally, if you're gonna do an ethnic OMAD, find a Brazilian steakhouse and do it there, at least you'll be on the right track.

well i eat what you said, some pakoras, some various curries, some rice, and some dessert, but it fills me up for the entire day and i don't need to eat til the next day. so basically if i'm only eating that versus eating 3 meals a day i'm way down in calories compared to that. so i'll lose weight and burn fat probably, right?

        >stopped eating 3 meals a day
        >started eating multiple plus dessert all during one meal
Is this b8Are you actually counting calories? It doesn’t matter how many meals you eat if you eat a 3000 calorie meal every day.

well i can't really count calories from undisclosed restaurant slop can i? they certainly don't have a card available for it and they'll probably look at me like i have 3 heads if i ask them about it, so no - i don't count calories. i'm just basing it off of my previous eating habits vs my current ones and i'm definitely eating less overall and at a greater bargain.

          >i am 31 years old
          >i generally would get breakfast at dunkin on the way to work, order out a sandwich or something at work, and then either eat like a box of rice with chicken and frozen vegetables if i'm feeling up to cooking, or just get takeout from somewhere...generally pizza, calzone, chinese, etc.

well that was my old diet, my new diet is indian buffet and no more donuts and bagels for breakfast and no white bread sandwiches for lunch.

i just drink my coffee and my 1 can of soda per day as my "highly processed syrup carbs" or whatever you wanna consider it

ok eat less then dude based on what you described you're eating way too much. A lot of indian food is calorie dense. If your body looks like that you probably are not good at controlling your portions, so just slowly try to ween yourself off eating so much.

i don't care about macros or micros or anything, i'm not exercising or anything like that

i'm just trying to reduce my food intake and going from 3 meals to 1 meal and less overall calories will make me lose weight, that's just science

You still gotta be careful tho. Its easy to overdue it even in a single meal. A large meal of meat and bread can easily surpass 2000kcal
