These are the exercises I do on a regular basis, does this cover all my bases, or am I missing something?

A lot of people will say you should have six basic compound exercises. A bench/pushup variant, pull/chin up variant, row variant, ohp variant, squat/lunge/whatever variant, and deadlift/posterior chain variant. So you could maybe add more for back and/or posterior chain but you're probably OK as-is.
I used to deadlift a lot and neglected squatting but I realized my hamstrings were starting to mog my quads which I’m pretty sure is NOT supposed to happen, so I’m focusing on squats only for legs until my quads grow bigger and then I will start doing both squat and dead.
As for row, good idea, I’ll probably start doing bent over one arm dumbbell row.
Cute dog
Thanks
You really need a bench
I have access to a bench I just find weighted pushups more fun than bench press arm
>OHP
good.
>weighted push-ups
superset it with a dumbbell press/unweighted or lower-weight dips if endurance will allow it
>chin-ups
do other variations, and weighted
wide-grip/neutral-grip overhand
if that's your compound, do one-arm dumbbell/Penley rows afterward
>high rep low weight front squat
ah, just go for a low-rep high intensity squatting instead
No squat rack so I can only squat as much as my clean 1RM unfortunately
You lack something for chest and something for lower back. Choose at least one for each:
Chest: bench or dips
Lower back: deadlift or RDL
Are weighted pushups really not enough for chest?
Oh, I read pullups instead of pushups. Ignore the chest portion of my post.
Oh ok. Thanks
Based schnauzerposter
Thanks, she’s actually a schnauzer yorkie. She’s like 14 years old and her name is Honey. She’s half blind and half deaf but her mind is all there and she’s still full of life. It’s very interesting. Like she’s memorized the houses layout so she never walks into walls
I want to smooch that adorable schnauzer. Mines coming up on 12 years and apart from a few lumps is just as spry as when she was a puppy
Sorry the dog distracted me and I forgot to answer the question
>overhead press
Tris and delts
>weighted pushups
Destroys wrists for no gain, bench instead
>chinups
Lats covered
>high rep low weight front squat
thighs and booty
>running
calves, abs, and obliques
Still need facepulls for rear delts and supenated curls (or pull ups aka not chin ups) for biceps and forearms. Shrugs are an option for traps but not really necessary since you'll kind of hit them with chin ups
Oh damn are weighted pushups bad for your wrists? I just do them because I find them more fun than benching, I guess I’ll probably start benching then. Don’t want to hurt myself
>supenated curls (or pull ups aka not chin ups)
Wait what
I thought pullups don’t hit biceps and chinups do
Wishing her many more years to come 😀
>chin up vs pull ups
This could start a multi-thread argument, better to just do supenated curls for better forearm targeting
>don't want to hurt myself
In that case just get handles like these, or use flat sides dumbells as handles. Just don't want to be smooshing your wrist flat into the floor
damn i really should start doing shrugs
any reccomendation on how to do them? is supersetting a good idea?
i love you honey :3
here is my rosie who passed a few months ago
Would give soft blankie and pat
RIP fine fellow
Why do Schnauzers hate booties? Her little feet get all wet in the snow, she loves her jacket but put anything on her feet and she'll stand there until you take it off.
varies from dog to dog imo, mine likes them
