Overtraining is a complete meme. I'm not talking about over-doing it when training (weight or progression out of natural alignment) but training "too often."
Mother fucker I lift weights 2x daily, every single day. I've been doing this for 19 months. I went from zero training, to 20 mins a day, to 2x daily. No days off, ever. I don't even eat that well.
Overtraining is the gayest excuse not to meet your goals.
