paleobros, we lost...

>Although cupcakes and crumpets were still a long way off during the Middle Stone Age, new evidence suggests that at least some humans of that time period were eating starchy, cereal-based snacks as early as 105,000 years ago. The findings, gleaned from grass seed residue found on ancient African stone tools, are detailed online Thursday in Science.

you do know glucose (and therefore carbs) is way more easily turned into body fat, right? it's a way more efficient process from a thermodynamics point of view.

This is so blatantly false, 98% of your bodyfat came from dietary fat because it's so readily directly stored as fat. 0-3% of dietary fat gets burned as heat, carbs is stored as glycogen then more readily burned off as heat before it can be converted into fat

                Anonymous

You literally absorb fat you eat directly from small intestines into blood wherefrom it’s then directly absorbed by cells. Glucose requires converting first and it’s not efficient. Even if you hammer in two loafs of bread in one go your triglycerides won’t budge much.

          What happened was essentially:
          >a few people gain control of a really large tribe
          >hm, there's not enough meat. I don't want to give the others my meat, but I still want them alive so they can do stuff. They can eat grain
That is the whole basis for agriculture based societies. Grain is meant for the lower less valuable classes who are needed alive for work but not needed to be healthy.

Suppose that is true after 100k years the human body has changed and has adapted to grains. Todays humans are different than 100k years ago. So your ancestors made it so grains are healthy for you today. Eat grains.

what the frick. there are millions of people around the world that don't eat bread or grains and they're perfectly fine. frick, up until like 50 years ago people were just eating whatever they could grow/farm/find within a hundred miles, and it wasn't until the 80s fitness fad and the 90s pseudoscience and the 00s boom in spread knowledge and the '10s fakenews that we got to this point to where we have no idea what the frick to eat anymore when in reality, it doesn't fricking matter. don't eat a ton of sugar/refined flour/alcohol/brain matter, and you'll be fine.

    wanna know the real killers?
    >stress
    >loneliness
    >substance abuse
    >lack of physical activity
    >smoking

so who the frick cares if someone eats grains or not? our bodies are gonna be just fricking fine without them.

moronic dietary patterns like carnivore diet (keto is harmless if done right) exists only because of American grift culture. All the carnivore diet promoters are either grifters who sell you supplement or said grifters victim or mentally unstable people like Jordan Peterson. Eating grains is fine. The problem is eating restarted american cake products that aren't even food

Carnivore diet is moronic and built on a flawed and reductionist premise. Keto is fine as a short term treatment for various metabolic issues not as a long term lifestyle. Veganism is clearly suboptimal and only sustainable with careful planning or supplementation.
