"People can't tell you Lift in a shirt"

Is this real or roidtroony cope?

I think it's cope.
I'm natty, not even big at all, and people (both Gymgoers and Normies) can tell I can lift even in a M sized shirt

It's one of the strangest fat powerlifter copes that we have. If you're a natural at a high bodyfat you just look fat in clothes and fat out of them. There's no benefit whatsoever.

I'd say if you have to cope as low as M to look jacked in a shirt you're small and weak.
I also fricking hate tight shirts. It so douchey and gay. I'm 6' and wear XL and it's still very obvious I lift without it being form fitting, but I'm also 235.

Oh look, one of them is here

I agree with this. I just buy clothes that fit well, sometimes I even get myself some oversized shirts just because I like them. I don't care about people knowing that I lift and over time I have also gotten a bit tired of people realizing that I lift and proceeding to ask stupid questions about diet and exercise that should be common sense by now

Oh wow, I'm so impressed by your deep thoughts on the importance of reminding people you lift every single moment of the day. Truly a philosophical masterpiece. And of course, it's not like you have any ulterior motives or desire for attention. No, no. You're just a humble weightlifter who doesn't care about how your muscles are perceived in clothing.

Please, do continue to enlighten us with your profound insights. I'm sure we can all learn a thing or two about humility and attention-seeking behavior from you.

Put it this way, when you look at someone who lifts, you can tell they lift... so obviously other people can tell you lift too. It doesn't take much observation skills to notice how someone is built no matter what they're wearing.

For some reason when I see other guys wearing tight fitting stuff or really showing off their arms I automatically assume they're a douchebag, even though I'm guilty of it myself sometimes. I guess it doesn't matter what we think of each other though because all we're trying to do is get some girls to look at us for an ego boost.

People can tell you lift by the way you carry yourself. Good posture, the sort of confidence that comes with bettering yourself, moving like someone who has control over and awareness of their body; these are all things that come with lifting and come across to people, even if they don't know what it is, they'll subconsciously notice

Don't wear incredibly tight clothing thinking it'll make your muscles "pop", you'll just look insecure.

No, it’s not. Women (and most men) don’t know what a natty lifter looks like after x amount of time. Every day they see videos of men that have a body that can only be obtained by roiding or natty bodybuilding for a decade and they naturally assume it is possible with minimal effort because they have no idea what kind of effort (or drugs) it takes to look that way. People will unironically tell you that most professional and Olympic athletes are natty. That is the level of delusion people have around mens bodies in the current year.

If you can comfortably fit into a medium then you’re just small there’s no way around it. It’s not even an issue of just the shoulders being small it’s everything from the abdomen up traps, all shoulder heads, back, chest, etc. Imagine training about 1/3rd of your entire body to wear the same size shirts as middle schoolers.

That being said you’re either big or you’re not shirt size is whatever. You’ll just look like a desperate homosexual by wearing a shirt that’s clearly too small “CAN YOU TELL THAT I lIFT LOOK HOW TIGHT MY MEDIUM IS” then the large hoodie goes on and your hobby might as well be collecting 40k figures because no one can tell now lmao

It is cope but partly true. If you are a natural and below 10% bodyfat, no one can tell you ever lift a weight in your life with a shirt on. You need to be between 12 to 15% to be remotely lean and look like you lift.

It’s true no matter how much the dyels here wish it wasn’t. The bar has been raised by Roiding influencers and celebrities. If you wear a child size shirt (medium), you may look like you lift, but you look like a homosexual. If you’re heavy enough to fill out a large/xl shirt you’re either roiding, have high bf%, are a genetically gifted 6’2+ man, or have been lifting natty for a decade.

The key is to train your trap muscles.

Depends on the length of the neck. Overtrained traps look better with a long neck, undertrained traps look better with a short neck.
Not a lot of men have long necks, so the majority of men would do better to undertrain traps; but they end up overtraining them

The best approach is to buy clothes that you're comfortable in first, and secondly, are clothes that you look like you understand the basics of male fashion and aesthetic. Going out of your way to flash your figure is autism, but if your figure sticks out of commonly worn clothing, you've won.
