please help my deadlift

Bros my dead lift is so fricking weak and I saw this video https://youtu.be/UC5UfOEgsO8 with a bunch of random fricks dead lifting like it's nothing meanwhile my deadlift is fricking trash
I bench better than I deadlift
I had two spinal injuries (unrelated to lifting) a few years ago and it seems to have mogged my deadlift into beta mode. I haven't seen a doctor in a while since when I get my x-rays their advice was pretty much "frick you and frick off now give us money" they also said not to lift big for a while and I become depressed and haven't lifted for two years but I've been back at it these past few months and muscle memery is real because I'm at 1/2/3/2, I can do a three pl8 dead lift conventional but with mix gripped for 1RM but I don't count my mixed grip numbers
Please help brahs, my squat is growing and doing fine, I'm at the weight where I'm going to start wearing a belt, but my deadlift is trash.
I can't be this weak brahs
It's just at a certain point my grip and back just refuse to try harder
maybe my grip strength is really weak?
Also I have a long torso and short arms

Start lifting sumo, easier on the spinal erectors.

      Nah bro
I don't live to have sex with men, so by that fact I simply cannot do sumo

          >sumo lifter
          opinion rejected

How much do you weigh? Just keep training deadlifts or rdls to improve your posterior chain

          just measured at 273

You can also try Jefferson as it is much less taxing on the back. But it has more leg recruitment.
Or try hex bar so you are not bending forward.
Doing these will increase your deadlift.
I had an injury to my disc when I was 18 and Des said same thing. Im fricked just live with it, they also told me not to gain any weight, which was terrible advice.
I put on 20kg and now my back never hurts, i deadlift Jefferson all the time. Give it a go, it might work for you.
          Your conventional will go up.

My gym doesn't have a hex bar
But I'll try out the jefferson, it's not sumo and it might help grow my conventional DL
I'm definitely not going to aim to dead lift more than 4pl8s ever because of my back, but it really moggs me that i'm not at 1/2/3/4 and my other lifts are already starting to grow while my DL is totally shot
If it works for you then maybe I'll try it, even though it look kind of moronic, but DL always look moronic anyways since my cawk and balls always hang over the bar. Pretty embarrassing lift.

What site/app did you use for that?

          See

          Symmetrical strength

          >345 squat
          >260 dead
          >lowerback kills dead but not squat
          Nice quarter squats homosexual

          Nah bro, I'm ATG king
Squats and DLs affect the back in completely different ways

Lol extremely advanced bait. Just in case it's not, your double overhand will be nowhere your your max deadlift. Mixed grip, hook grip, or straps is the only way to lift as much as possible.

I can deadlift about 350 at 180 double overhand. And I can only squat 225. I think it's because I ignored the CNS naysayers and just always deadlifted as frequently as I squatted, running a squat/bench/row and dl/ohp/chin as an a/b program for like 2 years. I know it is shit programming but deadlift is the #1 libido increasing lift for me and regularly fricking my wife (who is well past the sell-by date) saves me loads of money. Also I know my lifts aren't impressive but I started old and have a thin frame. As usual the advice is simple, and not what you want to hear, but effective: deload to a weight you can do comfortably (I like 3x5, 5x3, 7x1 for set x rep) and increase only when you can maintain good form with no pain. Back straight, shoulders back, lats & hammies engaged, good valsalva. I do mostly knee extension till it clears knees, then thrust hips forward to finish. Just take it easy till you've got it down, no one cares how much you lift.

    1. Unless you post your technique, you might as well delete this post and try crying over at reddit to see if they're any better at consoling you.

    2. Learn to hook grip or use straps. There is 0 reason to hold back deadlift progress because of grip limitations. (Not that I believe it's really the main issue)

      hook grip sucks
my thumb always ends up slipping out
