      literally, yes. Guys who weigh sub 170 lb take pride in being able to do 20 pull ups or some weird reddit shit, despite their abs barely being visible at 10% bf and having 11 inch arms. I'm 200 lb at 12% bf and can do like 10 strict bodyweight pull ups in a row, despite being able to lift 2/3/4/5, including being able to barbell row 315

          it literally just becomes cardio after rep 6. Why would I waste my time with a full body exercise when I could just isolate my lats and overload them more efficiently? It's like the same reason doing high rep OHP for shoulders is moronic. Your body gives out before your delts

      I can do +20kg for 8 reps, same full ROM and pausing at clavicle/chest.
      Sets of perfect form pullups with only BW still frick me up.

    It engages back muscles which are hard to target. I have trained with calisthenics for years but I never had access to a push up bar and I now cannot do one because I'm too heavy.

    I found a park which has an assisted pull up bar mechanism. I'm exercising on that to failure. Pull ups are an exercise I should be able to do 10 given i can do 50 push ups so I'm working on it.

      Adding in deadlifts and cheat curls wouldn't be bad with some military push presses. That trio would be golden one on top of basic calisthenics. Simple, effective, lets you move a lot of weight.

      I used to do this shit, swapped it out for weighted chin-ups. Kinda miss doing a ton of volume on bodyweight pullups/chinups. The only lift that I have fun struggling on.
